We have to account for injuries that are bound to happen. KAT, Mitch and OG don't have a stellar history on this. We need someone solid.

Are Hukporti and McCullar in that 11? Trying to do the mental math, but I think we can afford 2 more veteran mins - i.e. a big like Nance or Boucher and then maybe shooting depth like Shamet?
YABU to the Knicks on the MLE

If the numbers are right I think that leaves about 3.5mm left, which they can't go over.
They might not use that so they can leave space to sign a buyout guy or a midseason guy...or they can add one more veteran min who should slot right into that space. I believe Shamet slots in around 2.8-2.9mm base don his level of service.

So then we can sign Nnaji as the 14th man at around 1.3mm and leave 2.2mm in space for buyout season.

Do we still have team options on -
Hukporti 1,955,377
PJ Tucker 3,468,960
are they included in those figures or no?

Believe we declined Tucker and picked up Hukporti.
Not sure of the McCullar situation

Man, Knicks really playing it with little leeway. At least we are depthier and more balanced with the additions. Looks like there is going to be a bunch of camp invites fighting for the last spot
So we have a bunch of youths all fighting for the last 2 roster spots on rookie minimum deals and two 2 way spots
James Nnaji
Dink Pate
Kevin McCullar Jr
Mohamed Diawara
Biwali Bales
being greedy would love THJR at vet min, we need another wing.
If we can somehow resign Shamet to a min deal I would call this off season a big success. Really think we need that 3 ball guy that can defend. Shamet ain't perfect but at the cost we have available - he may be the best option as he is familiar with the team already.
If its 3.5mm not including McCullar, then I think we can't get get to 14 if we sign another veteran min, even if waive McCullar. Its more than likely McCullar + Nnaji, since he came over from Europe and we can stash Diawara till we want to bring him over. I think even Beauchamp would be too expensive to convert based on his experience? Or just be on the border?
I wouldn’t be surprised to see us do the same as last year and wait the 60 days. Mane put MCullar on a 2 way and then convert him and add a vet min

Since Yabu signing caps us at 2nd apron already.
Could we still find a creative way to S&T Precious out -- not sure if we'd be able to add anyone in with him to move salary and maybe get another player/contract back.
My brain is telling me we almost have to cut Precious.

I thought Precious was a UFA?

I think biwali is there only for the summer league. It's good to have a vet for the kids and it gives him a chance to audition for Euro teams. But don't forget about Watson and Beauchamp.
Precious is as good as gone at this point
