Yea last year it was easy to be proud in the loss. This year it seems like we just beat ourselves and lost a very winnable series.
Funny thing is if we lose to Boston in a hard fought 7 game series in an alternate reality we probably feel better than we do tonight.
It’s the old second place feels, third and first go out with wins.

Giannis would be an excellent fit. I just question what it would take for you to get him.
get a life.
what the hell are you even doing on a Knicks forum

my life is jus fine and I didn't come to talk trash. I prefer the opinions of the opponents. If you don't like what I say, you can choose to not read it or just don't respond.
your life is not fine. You are a pacers fans and probably come from that god forsaken place
you did come here to talk trash, and you are trash just like reggie, Tyrese, pat macfee, Tyrese's dad, and The Great Satan
it must really suck to be a pacers fan and have a Knicks fans remind you that for all their choke signs pacers have won zero NBA championships. how's that for choking
Dude chill the fuck out
I will but honestly Martin you cool with some pacers guy coming in here to stir things up?
He didn’t, you did.
I play devils advocate all the time and we all have differing opinions. No different.
okay I beg to differ. Guy joins the forum today to say hello, I think you guys will lose, but let's see what happens. read his posts. I think he was stirring it up and I was calling him out for being a punk
I know this is the internet and everyone (including me) is a tough guy but would someone do that in the real world? you're ok with this?

Same.
Same +1.
I'll add -- this isn't a team I'm comfortable where I'm thinking just tweak this or that and we are contenders. Confidence level in this core is NOT high. If Mikal for example had really stepped up and we lost I'd at least feel rock solid about having a go to 3rd wheel but this guy is a flake.
martin wrote:Jalen gotta move past the stats and get to the decision making and game control. He will.
I'm not convinced he will unless we find a legit lead ball handler he (and Thibs) trusts to move him off ball more.
Leon hasn’t been perfect but I trust that he will make the right read on the team this offseason. One thing you know is this teams floor is pretty high going into next year, and the road to the finals as it stands today will be even easier. So you don’t want to do anything that will send you backwards. A couple savvy moves around the margins and this team is probably 55-57 win team and much more equipped for another deep run without all the headaches along the way.
Well. This sucks. Go OKC!
Needed a more consistent 3 point sniper
martin wrote:Jalen gotta move past the stats and get to the decision making and game control. He will.
Press and trap only leaves so many decisions. Worst decision he made was Game 1 throwing to OG. That horrid replay aside, he shouldn't have made that pass. Use the clock and you go to the line my man.

I think we’re being a little too critical of him right now. He had a bad game and Indy’s press got to him but damn he was an absolute killer all year and the best 4th quarter player I’ve ever watched.
Not sure why we went away from Big Mitch in the 2nd half

Mikal gets high scrutiny because of what Leon traded him for IMHO
OG Mikal Mitch are all doing double duty on the D end of things with KAT and Brunson.
I’ve always thought that Mikal is a guy who needs a good setup PG. His best years were with CP3 and young Rubio. Brunson is a very different PG for him and OG and KAT).
Thibs 4-10 in elimination games.
Not sure that means anything but not great.

Agree and he'd look better if we were moving better. Example - he'd be great on Pacers IMO.

I can’t put my finger on it but Jalen handles ball pressure strangely, or something. He’s not one to try to break down his guy and head to the rim. Maybe he doesn’t have the burst or handle or what, I just can’t tell. But he doesn’t handle it too well. Secondary guy would help tremendously.
Knicks gotta decide on that and the KAT conundrum imho

Yea I really don’t think you trade away versatile 2 way wings who can score 15-20 on the other end. Mikal is a good winning player who is likely to sign at a discount. I’d trade Hart for sure before Mikal. Giannis is the only name I’d gladly throw Mikal into the mix for.
Brunson and Wing stop are the surest things we have on this team in terms of winning players to build around.

It upsets you that I believed that the Pacers would win? That's the wrong thing to say? That somehow makes me a "punk"? lol, I can't take any of that seriously. It's a basketball game. This is a forum. You're not going to always agree with everyone and everyone won't always say what you want to hear and that's ok. You have a pretty good team and I don't think they're going anywhere. They will be contenders next season. I've been reading your forum regularly since the Boston series. Far worse things have been said about the Pacers than anything I've ever posted.

A Bridges/Kolek 2nd unit backcourt could be effective, with Bridges taking the tougher defensive assignment.
Bridges had his moments, but got exposed when the game got physical, as it often does in the playoffs. Bridges got rattled.
I think we need a starter who is better equipped to handle the physicality of the playoffs. Its trending back towards more physical play.
Interesting words from Deuce … seems to echo much of the fans sentiment

I think we’d all appreciate it if you would just be an asshole so we can take our frustrations out on you.
But no… you had to be reasonable.

I think the OG/Bridges tandem is fine as 3rd/4th options. Bridges has quirks but he has plusses too. I agree with need a tough / physical player added to the starting lineup. And we clearly need another ball handler to help Brunson with the full court playoff pressure.
