Imo, He will stay far away from this for a while.
Specially if he was the main reason they made the move. Which I believe was the case.
It will be telling which new coach is announced. May answer as to why Thibs was fired.
Brunson friendly coach, ie. Wright, Brunson was the reason and playoff benching was taken personal by him and/or his dad.
Malone, they felt Thibs lacked chip experience to beat Indy.
Bryant, they felt development of bench and draft pieces was lacking this year. Which would have helped us beat a Indy 10 man rotation.

Does have a quality of fat man temper tantrum.
But Rose was given complete control and Dolan has benefited greatly.
Can brag at the country club about all of his (Roses moves) being so good.
This move is only made with top players blessing or complaints

I will be very surprised if Brunson had anything to do with it. Thibs lets him play the way he wants. Now that Thibs is fired, what happens to Rick Brunson? If Brunson uses his leverage, I think it’s to get a player traded, or to keep his Dad on the roster.
Taylor Jenkins plays 10 guys - doesn't give anyone consistently heavy minutes. When his team has been healthy he has gotten great results and several younger players have developed quite well under his watch. His team plays fast and creates turnovers. He knows how to use a scoring PG and a shooting big. He also has maximized defensive wings and bigs as well.
I think Jenkins got a raw deal- they tried to impose a new offensive system on him and flipping coaches didnt work for then. They went from 2nd in the West to not winning a playoff game.
Thibs did what he was hired to do. He was hired to set the baseline, establish a culture and raise the floor. Once he checked all of those boxes I think Rose knew it would be time to move on and bring in the closer.

Don’t think that was the reason but definitely a possibility .
Mutiny is usually the main reason for removing the Captain.
The only think I can come up with is by looking at Rose’s MO.
He brought over JB’s dad to lure or complete a promise to JB.
Perhaps he will hire Bud to lure you know who.

Celts used to say a good coach develops players or wins playoffs, a great coach does both

You may be right. Going by how frustrated both JB and Rick looked in the playoffs. And not talking about how they reacted to on court things. Noticed Rick several times going strongly at Thibs ear.
Agree that what happens to Rick will greatly influence that feeling.
Brunson and Dolan had nothing to do with this. This is a Rose move. Like Mike Francesa said he doesn’t need the Knicks job and if Dolan started meddling like he used to Rose would immediately quit. Rose knows Thibs has taken this team as far as he could he’s not an innovative offensive coach he’s a Van Gundy clone the Knicks need an offensive coach

I’ve been ready to shitcan Leon for nearly a year.
Randle grudge runs strong within you young Skywalker!
Kemba/EF. Strike one.
iHart. Foul ball.
Mikal. Strike two.
Randle. Strike three.
Thibs. Strike four.
Four strikes, you're out!
Let see if karma bites Leon in his disloyal ass next year. He's got nowhere left to hide.
Randle in effect traded himself by telling Knick management he would not extend - which would have left them with payroll/cap uncertainty in building out the rest of the roster. A big factor in the Knicks moving him/Donte for Kat was that Kat's contract was established/set and he gave you the certainty of either him being on the roster or you trading him.
With Julius right now - he could choose to just leave us via free agency (at least I think he can opt out).
It seems like a lesson learned from iHart as well.
Mikal and Mitch are up... for extensions or trades.
Extend both.
If I had to guess - Brunson coming to the conclusion that team couldnt get further with Thibs had to be the driving dorce. He will smartly never admit to that and I do believe he loves Thibs - but there's no way this move was made without Brunson's buy in.

Not sure how close Giannis was to coach Bud...rumors were that he may have had a hand in the Bucks moving on from coach Bud. However, if the point is to bring in a coach to appease to Giannis, then the Knicks will try to pry Kidd from the Mavs. Doubt he would leave and I doubt the Mavs give us permission to spek to him

We've seen this before....
Mike Brown to Ty Lue
Rick Carlise to Larry Brown
Stan Van Gundy to Pat Riley
Doug Collins to Phil Jackson
In Baseball we saw Buck Showalter to Joe Torrey with the Yankees and Buck Showalter to Bob Brenly
Where did we land on Tommy Bear's "sources"? BS, right? Udoka still with 2 years on his contract...

I know him as the good time guy who gives nice cherry picked stats when the vibes are flowing high. I don't recall him breaking any noteworthy news

Why would Houston do this? They've been trying to find a coach to get them out of the cellar for years.
I think Jason Kidd is happy Dallas got number 1 pick and got cooper flag , I recently saw on Dan Patrick show a couple weeks ago saying how happy was get the number 1 pick after the trade of Luka was rough. I doubt Jason Kidd takes the job now.

Im intrigued by CP3 as a player coach

A coupld of quotes that stood out in the article as it pertains to us....
“His ability to adjust on the fly and empower our players to make decisions has been invaluable” [2]. Bryant’s influence was evident in the development of Cleveland’s young guards, who thrived in his adaptable, player-empowered system.
Bryant’s coaching philosophy centers on empowering players by tailoring strategies to their strengths rather than enforcing a rigid system [12]. “Every player is unique, and it’s our job as coaches to understand what makes them tick,”
