Knicks · Fire Mike Brown (page 8)

Boston matches bad vs us as they don’t have anyone who can match up vs towns or Robinson.

Prichard is the White mans version of quickly … the C’s live and die by the 3 and they are really good at hitting open 3’s … get them off the 3 point line and they struggle/ less consistent. There game won’t fair well in the playoffs .

Robinson is the difference/xfactor . Towns as well, he can’t be stopped on offense vs the C’s and it opens up everything for everyone else.

Our passing in this game was fantastic, we got a ton of open looks …

If they didn’t go on that insane 3 point run we win this game by double digits .

The two man game looked really nice with Towns/Jalen last night in the 4th.
Key take away from teh game.
Need one of Shamet or Deuce together their rhythm back.
I like what MIkal bought last night. Solid.
OK on Tatum kept him at bay.
As long as Josh or OG are shooting well, we succeed most nights.
quality win. Boston Bench was thin but more than go it done. Baylor Scheierman!
Where does Boston find these guys!

I thought we all agreed Prichard is the white man version of McConnell?

I want so badly to beat the Celtics in a 7 game series again. I want the Ivy League asswipe Celtics fans in the media to eat a giant sh t sandwich and die.

Who else watches Hauser and sees a bit of Steve Novak?

Anything short of ECF Brown has to go and the Knicks need to go hard after Giannis this offseason.
markvmc @ 4/20/2026 10:56 PM
I think the first part is a given, tbh. We'll see about the second bit.

I never wanted Brown I wanted Malone.

Is Brown a bad head coach? No. I’ve seen the worst of the worst head coaches from Don Cheney to Kurt Rambis to David Fizdale. Brown is a competent NBA head coach. Problem is he’s not that good. Forget the no timeout which he will get killed for he had an obvious challenge with Brunson in the 3Q he could have won and he did t go for it and he stuck with the second unit way too long in the second quarter let the hawks hang around.

Doc Rivers please.

BlueKnickers @ 4/21/2026 12:08 AM

This thread will not be going anywhere anytime soon now that Brown played a non-dribbling four guard lineup

Has Doc done anything right since Thibs left him? Asking for a friend.

My biggest complaint with Mike is that he isn’t executing on his plan, his lineups are garbage and he’s afraid to play with common sense (and math). He came out strong to start the season and then regressed to holding the ball for the first 12 seconds of possessions. When you see OG get downhill to the hoop, how is that not the play you want to set up first? When you see KAT pass, how do you not want to start him with the ball in the pivot and charged with making the right decision. When you see Brunson shoot cleanly, how do you not install a motion offense to get him offball plays? How do yo play three guard lineups when you have a guy like Diawara sitting biding his time. Size matters, Mike.

We made it through a full season with the exact same offense Thibs lost with last year. Less curls. More top of the key screens. It’s mind numbingly frustrating that they can’t create an offense for the high end personnel they have and elect to dribble into oblivion.

That's a good way to put it

If we get eliminated first round Brown is D-U-N

Zero offensive creativity which was the big selling point in hiring Brown over Malone who was seen as just a Thibs/JVG clone. The offense is all ISO-Brunson and boy does he love this second unit it’s like watching a regular season game in January

The quote I hated was the 'I might not have used the timeout if I had it' from Brown. He wouldn't want the Hawks to have a chance to make defensive subs. Also means he believes the other team's defensive subs are better than his value add to crafting a play off a timeout? That's kind of coaching loser talk, right?

Nalod @ 4/21/2026 2:59 PM
Bottom line was there was not alot of time left, incredible that CJ missed both, and at best its 50-50 he makes the shot even if wide open. Mikal had a good look at the basket.
It sucks. One game. the sky fell.
martin @ 4/22/2026 5:27 PM
GSW may also have an opening this summer if Kerr retires and where Brown had been ann associate head coach and well liked? 🤷‍♂️
