Can we sign Lillard for the vet min?
Why would he come here to be Brunson’s backup when healthy ? This unfortunately might be another Kemba situation.
How does that help us next year?
Really all depends on when he is ready to return and in what shape?
Perhaps he can just lay back and see how it all unfolds then pick his spot. He can drop on to a contender. Not not he choose to tear this heel, or get waived. But here he is and perhaps he just takes care of his body and see where it takes him.

Supposedly he may be back by the start of the playoffs. A pure shooter off the bench would help but fat fn chance he takes the vet mini to come here

Even less of a chance that that Knicks offer him a spot or that Lillard even makes a decision until he is ready, which also may not be until the following season.
