Knicks trade…
Kat, Deuce, Pacome and Kolek
Kings trade…
Domantas, Murray and D Carter
Knick rotation
Domantas, OG, Murray, Mikal, Jalen
Mitch, Yabu, Hart, Clarkson, Carter
I think Kat and Domantas are close defensively BUT Domantas gives solid effort and no dummy plays like Kat.
Domantas enhances OG, Murray, Mikal and Brunson games to form elite offense.
Why would we do this if Kings never won with Domantas? Well maybe we believe the rest of our squad is better vs Kings and a 2-4 of Mikal/Murray/OG is defensively very solid.
Carter a very good rebounder and shooter at back-up 1 or 2 and should be able to play off Clarkson.
Why for Kings? Well why not plus I give them 2 youngsters to develop.
Thoughts??
I want to see KAT in a real offense. What if he turns out to be the best passing big man in the league afterall? I think his value is about to skyrocket if we implement a new offense

I tend to trust Kat less the more passes -- he just gets too casual and try's to make home run pass. On his career over 645 games he's basically a 1 to 1 A/TO ratio player. For every nice pass there is a T.O. to follow. Last 3-4 years Sabonis is roughly a 2.5 A/TO ratio guy and avg. ~7 assists per game.
Kat is such an enigma -- at times I LOVE HIM and at times I don't think he's serious enough on D or with his decision making to win a championship. For Kat to truly flourish as you wish we'd be forced to play him at center with Mitch off the court and what does that do to us defensively?
Where Sabonis is short for a center, has defensive and rim protection issues of his own. I still view Sabonis as an ultra serious competitor and he's also someone who has proven he can excel in a Brown offense. Sabonis has avg. +12 boards 8 years straight (WOW).
KAt avg. 12 last year for the first time in 7 years.
Big thought in this direction is clunkiness of Kat/Jalen fit (could Sabonis and Brunson be different - particularly with Sabonis having ball more at the elbows and Jalen going off ball). The other part is I really feel Sabonis would open up our other shooters/cutters more vs Kat who again I view as very turnover prone. Sabonis was of the leagues best screeners - something Kat doesn't or won't do.
I think it's an interesting swap to at least consider - doubt we go there and not sure if Kings would have ANY interest.
KAT doesn't box out. That's all I really want to know. I don't care about how many rebounds he averages, it's empty rebounding numbers. Same for Hart. KAT is also completely not interested in discipline. Silly fouls and turnovers are his signature things. Sabonis is the opposite. KAT is more talented of the two.
KAT wins matchups against the best bigs in the league. Bam and Embiid come to mind. He's played great against Joker. Sabonis wilts when he plays Randle. If we are trying KAT I was guys who defend coming back. No ifs ands or butts.
I guess I was suggesting the trade in order to boost the entire team rather than winning 1 on 1 match-ups vs other centers.
