Clev window is now.
Garland toe is an issue now. He is younger, Clips thinking ahead.
Harden seen as a better fit with Spida.
they are retooling for a run, Yes, be afraid. Folks might not like Harden but he plays defense when needed, won't have to carry the load in playoffs like when younger.
Harden and Spida combo does not really scream "good fit" to me, but could be wrong.
Spida to the Knicks is finally gonna happen next year. Deuce, Kolek, and Diawara out I guess.
They just making up all stars?

Reminds of the guy who would make Melo videos where he'd jab step jab step jab step jab step a dozen times to take a shot

Adam Silver is taking it upon himself to do what he thinks needs to be done. Stupid fans don't know what's good for them, neither do the stupid coaches. Thankfully we have Adam Silver to save the All-Star game. Our savior!!! What would the world became without his key , clutch interventions

Do they still name an injury reserve when the inevitable happens?

Remember when Vince Carter got voted as an all star starter over Michael Jordan because fair weather bulls fans from the 90’s forgot Jordan existed 3 years after his last championship?
I am not understanding of the all star game any more. Back in the 80's and 90's I enjoyed watching this
Trading a 26 year old Garland for 36 year old Harden is dumb imo.
Vucevic in Boston is interesting. He's different from Porzingis and not sure how he'll fit but Mazzula is a good coach so we'll see.
I like JJJ in Utah with Markkenan and Kesler (next season). Expect Morant to be traded shortly.

Same! Used to LOVE the All-Star game but you couldn't pay me to watch it now. It's for kids and the younger or newer fans. Hopefully the players take it a little more seriously and try to compete and win.
AI Overview
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game viewership was around 4.7 million viewers, making it the second-lowest in history, down 13% from 2024 and barely above the record low of 2023 (4.6 million). These figures show a continued decline, with recent years (2023-2025) all under 6 million viewers, a significant drop from pre-2020 numbers, though it still led in some young demographics despite competition from SNL's 50th anniversary special.
Recent Viewership Trends (in millions):
2025: ~4.7
2024: ~5.4
2023: ~4.6
2022: ~6.3
2020: ~7.3
Key Takeaways:
Second Lowest Ever: The 2025 game narrowly avoided being the all-time lowest, surpassing only the 2023 game.
Significant Drop: The last three years (2023-2025) are the only times the game has failed to reach 6 million viewers.
Competition: The 2025 game faced stiff competition from NBC's Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special.
Demographics: Despite overall drops, the game still performed well with younger audiences (adults 18-34).
While it been dropping is 5mill viewers an object failure? I get its not what it used to be, but is it still viable at lower numbers? What about replays and in global markets. The weekend being for sponsors and their clients?
What we are learning is viewership ratings are fractured given the many avenues to stream games besides terrestrial broadcasts.
Is it part of of an overall formula that is accredited to the macro increase in revenue? The NBA is a successful business.
Prediction: At some point they will hit a growth wall. But even so you take years of growth its enevitable and not a failure unless its continued. Nothing genious about that.
The Allstar game really a problem? Attendance is good. Sponsers and potential sponsers gather and its like a convention of sorts over a weekend. Weekend events in the cities are well attended and as noted kids love it. They grow up to be fans. Also younger fans still like it.
The game itself is a waste of time perhaps to all but younger viewers and very causual viewers.

Wow, didn't see that destination. Worth noting that one of those 1st round picks is this year's OKC pick. I wouldn't want AD by any stretch, but for a team like Washington that will need some luck to return to relevancy, not a bad cost trying to pair him with Trae.
Can't have a young team like that get too accustomed to losing for such a long period of time. I like it.

OKC securing a relatively cheap contact for the next 2.5 years. Are we about to see some of their bigger contracts heading out?
