Their cap sheet is not sustainable, so YES.

Is James Harden one of those guys we’re going to read about being broke and homeless in 10 years

Adam Silver is taking it upon himself to do what he thinks needs to be done. Stupid fans don't know what's good for them, neither do the stupid coaches. Thankfully we have Adam Silver to save the All-Star game. Our savior!!! What would the world became without his key , clutch interventions

Remember when Vince Carter got voted as an all star starter over Michael Jordan because fair weather bulls fans from the 90’s forgot Jordan existed 3 years after his last championship?

You mean when Jordan was 39 years old, had retired for 3 years, and Vince Carter was lighting it up?
Jordan, who to his credit played all 82 games and was Avg 20pts a game no doubt earned his allstar nod given his legacy.

Now what really happend? The event PHilC mentions was the 2003 allstar game.

It was not 3 years after, it was the 5th season after. Jordan sat out 3 years, and played 2 more years with Wiz. Michael Jordan served as President of Basketball Operations and minority owner for the Washington Wizards from January 2000 to May 2003, with a mixed, ultimately disappointing tenure. While he brought national attention, sold out arenas, and improved the team's record, his management was marked by poor draft choices (most notably Kwame Brown at #1 in 2001) and, after returning to play for the team, he was fired by owner Abe Pollin.

Brandon Haywood, also former teammate of Vince from UNC had indicated (Videos of him saying this) that David Stern went full "mafia don", did not ask Vince, he "Told" Vince he would give Jordan his spot. Stern knew the hype would help the game.

Iverson and vince was the new face of the NBA. Perhaps the fable was Vince wanted to honor his UNC god and Jordan was not wanting to do this. It still occured. Jordan started. It was a nice moment even if not as pure as perhaps advertised.

One who is into conspiracy perhaps in retrospect might see how Vince mailed it in less than two seasons later without impunity forcing his trade out of Toronto at a bargain price. Perhaps Stern thought Nets run might be a good thing for the NBA. It really was not. Nets in Jersey never really had a national traction. Thats a another story for another day.

Phil, if you want to teach people or remind them of things don't be lazy. Give some context. It was an intersting occurance.
IN my opinion, fans voted for Kobe, Iverson, and Vince got it right. Jordan was named as a proper honor. That he was starting vs. Kobe was also cool. Stern created the drama and the game went two overtimes.

As for the game? Adding the skills thing, dunk contest, the Rising stars, making it over two days....Etc. All attempts to raise exposure for the game, attendance, profits for host city, etc.......all over decades to make it more appealing and slowed its demise to some extent. Its been dying for a very long time.

Lonzo being waived - free to sign anywhere but shooting god awful from 3 all year.

There was a time I thought he could be perfect compliment to play off/with Jalen -- ball mover, some handles, could shoot the 3, some size and defense BUT seems maybe he is washed or just not his year (again).

Think any/all of Ball, Conley, K Anderson - hell even CP3 could be big additions in key spots of playoff games.

If nothing else available - moving Yabu for NOTHING and signing K Anderson post a buyout --- me I'd take that. Can handle, defend 1-5 decently and just a smart unselfish player.

Lonzo is a shell of his former self. It would be pointless now

I was talking about Kyle Anderson. I want nothing to do with a guy whose major achievement in this league is having more tattoos than everyone

In not talking shit about Harden or the Cav's until they are eliminated in and we move forward.
He has defied most logic. Im not a fan. But his last few years have been solid on the court in LA.
