IN the land of "annoying white folk" Kessler is a good player to build with. I get the logic that we'd have to make an offer they could not refuse. Im not saying we should not.

Well was going to share a suggested Kat trade I saw on RGM and this is good a spot as any given King struggles.
Sabonis/Ellis for Kat — works in tracker BUT that deal would put Knicks over 2nd apron as is.
Noticed Sabonis #s are way off thru 1st few games FGA, points and assists all way down despite normal minutes.
Sabonis has issues but he could also be a great facilitator for rest of team that needs more shot creation.

Scoring is kind of ridiculous in many cases around the league — guys putting up 50 like Bonds, Sosa & Maguirre
I find these games boring when defense is a non entity.
Man, Boston over Cleveland and Orlando dropping a game to Detroit and are 1-4.
While the team needs time to gel and learn Brown's faster paced offensive style.... down the road something to consider before the deadline.
Could some type of KAT and inexpensive players/picks (eg McBride,Kolek, Pacome, future #1 pick) for Lauri and Kessler make sense for our roster/future? Ainge can use KAT and reroute him and gain more picks in the process. We would be better defensively, longer and deeper as a team. Lauri would give us similar outside scoring (KAT), along with similar defense too (ouch). Kessler would allow us C/PF flexibility and insurance for Mitch and our lack of defensive presence when KAT plays C due to Mitch's injuries. I get we have been thinking of trying to get Kessler to play next to KAT but maybe this is one of those deals that yields us more options as we will have to make a decision on Mitch soon. Also it bolsters our bench/depth as Lauri starting would move OG to the 3, Bridges back to the 2, etc... we'd be big at most positions instead of slightly undersized at the 3 and 4 spots. Can still play 5 and out as Lauri can offer some minutes at the 5.

If it were any other team, I would say that this is something to consider, although I do wonder about Lauri being as good of a fit in the New York market as KAT has been. However... I once again say:

On paper exchange for Trae young seems logical but not feeling ATL would want to go down that road? Jah got a new coach in memphis and already at issue with him. Video does show Jah kind of taking it real easy on some plays.
I don't see any fit with him in MSG. Brooklyn? Perhaps. Ja now an NBA player in his 7th season and while the talent is there the injuries and suspensions have limited him to just 313 games. He owed 125mil this season and the next two. He making 39-44mil avg per.

He is a pretty good player,as it turns out. His time on the Knicks is going to be remembered by giving the fans the thumb 👎, $hitting the bed in the playoffs, the spinover and most of all for getting us Towns, which resulted in the first Conference finals appearance in 2O some years
He has one bad playoff and was injured thru another they played thru.
Jules is an all star and made two all nba teams as a knick. That is not to be forgotten. He was on the edge of being superstar but he has mood swings, weed issues, Crying baby at home, etc. Not like team was stacked either.
Melo could not carry that team via post season and neither could Jules. One is a HOF and one will retire a very wealthy young man and had 3 allstar years in 5 where he played 330 games. While I might be green with envy but if knicks are not champs I'd be happy if Jules got one and was playoff MVP! Same for DD, IQ and RJ Barrett.
