Good to see so many guys get some run.
Feel that it will make the team so much deeper come playoffs.
Thought this would mean sacrificing some wins but guys all played well yesterday.
Curious to see who gets minutes when MR and Hart back.
Key will be how starters handle less minutes and less of the load.
JB and KAT will have to let others create the offense at times.
Noticed Brown stayed with Kolek and deuce through beginning of 4th when Knicks had a run.
Great start to a hopefully special season.

OG 14 Rebs and clutch defense!!!!
Corner three!!!! Money.
The demon is an unsong hero until you look at his salary. He earns it quietly and unselfishly on the court.
Kolek looked good. He might have passed on shots but he hit one early and the passing was excellent.
I mentioned the other day like deuce two years ago, he looks close to "breaking out". By that I mean a rotational player.
I liked how Kat was on offense. Jalen had for sure an easier time of things and not forceing it until crunch time.
I believe OG was guarding Mitchel in the first half at times? Then was on Mobley in the second?
Maybe? Perhaps somone can chime in.
Mobley has really grown as a player on both ends filling his rookie promise.
Yabu not feeling it yet. His caboose makes him look clunky at times. One game.......
Kolek and Decue as a combo. Looked good. Loved what Shamet bought.
Lets talk Huk! The passing in the paint was spot on quick. Hartenstein like. That ball was flying around and guys were getting open looks.

Playing guys like Deuce, Bridges 94 feet of the court and having guys like OG and HUK playing the weakside and middle is like a temporal trap defense. At some point you pull the big out to set the pick on the hounds and the ballhandler moves into the paint to face Huk straight up with OG on the weak side. It feels like they broke the press, but you still have long arms of guys like the off ball player of Deuce or Bridges swiping. Its a really interesting look on defense with the full court coverage. You had OG and Bridges with 3 steals each.
My untouchable list is Deuce / Bridges / OG. And I have my eyes on Diawara (which is crazy this early) but I think I see something really interesting there. It might just be a look in his eyes (carrying a bit of those Kurt Thomas crazy eyes with him) but I think he will feast -- soon.

Two thing I liked best were the play OG and the play of Kolek. But the one thing I observed that gave me pause is the size of our backcourt, particularly at point guard. Both Kolek and Brunson are at best 6'2 and I can see that being a problem down the road.

Hart has size, and Mikal and OG can guard some guards as well. the biggest threats are forwards anyway.
Kolek can play, IDK why he gets so much heat.

Deuce just look more confident or something this year. He is playing slightly different. Maybe it's just the handle and no injuries ala last year but he looks like a battle tested, playoff vet.

I heard he had a great preseason game which I missed. I mention that because I watch every Knick game and then some and this is the first time Kolek looked like an NBA player. Dude had done nothing but miss or refuse to shoot until last night (he looked great). If he's not a scoring threat teams immediately play off him. He needs to attack and actually be a threat. He did that last night.
Kolek fills such a need on this team that if he can play like that there's a lot of minutes out there for him. Will be interesting when Josh comes back. I would expect Shamet to sit

I mean its ok, not every player has to be a big scoring threat. He's a backup PG with a high IQ that creates for others. He absolutely looks to pass, but he's a great passer so that isn't the worst thing. He might look to pass but I never get the sense that he's scared to attack offensively and he definitely gets into the paint.

For whatever reason, it’s difficult for me to enjoy KAT as a Knick. Those defensive fouls that he has no business making that are in the WTF range.. bro, just lay off

Was a great win last night! Way to set the tone early. Hoping to see more from Yabu tomorrow night.

KAT will go 8 mins of totally dominating and then take the next 8 and get 3 offensive fouls and miss rotations. He really stabilized us early in the 4th with his scoring and came up with great contest. Started the game with total boneheadness. Ended up with pretty good numbers if less scoring than normal. His stability/performance is what separates contender from title, but we know he is capable.
BTW, reason for optimism is we played well and Brunson made almost nothing from the field. Brunson will shoot better than that on the majority of nights this year. And if he can get those looks from 3 consistently, watch out.

I have a feeling Mike Brown will have a short leash for the periodic KAT foolishness

He had looked very mediocre in both summer league and pre-season up until the last game where he got lots of time and was very aggressive.
He was aggressive again last night and I noticed multiple times where defenders pushed up on him and he went RIGHT drawing fouls off the dribble. VERY POSITIVE outing especially if Brown will continue to give him a leash to get comfortable.
Prior to last night --- I would have cared less if Kolek had been moved but I was probably wrong - hope he breaks out this year.

Another thing on Kolek -- he wasn't taken advantage of (at least last night) on D.

At $40m against the cap, I think I’d be OK with it but he’s in the $50m to $60m range soon and that’s not sustainable for the glaring errors.

feel the same, never thought I'd want Randle back b/c he was arguably the most frustrating Knick in my lifetime. But I would undo that trade today if I could, especially with Randle at $30m.

Honestly KAT just looks fat to me, he's so much bigger than he was 2-3 years ago and I don't think that helps his game at all. but moreso it speaks to maybe lack of conditioning/care on his part.

Get a new tv, HD. Its a fact that he lost a bunch of weight to play more power forward and he is in great shape.

No place for Randall on this team. We don't need a ball hog 6'7" power forward on this team

He lost weight this offseason too!
