He’s not looking to shoot. Seems unaware out there. I’m hoping it flips eventually like when we signed Hartenstein and he was slow to start.

I like Shamet, but this is why I wanted Matthews over him. He rarely seems to hit those momentum shifting threes when we need it. I had way more trust in Matthews to do that for sure.
Frustrating, had so many chances to turn things around, and miscommunications and defensive blunders have thrown cold water on any momentum.
Plenty of blame to go around tonight, but one of those fingers is pointing at Coach Brown. I know he's try to focus on depth and keeping guys fresh, but sat Brunson way too long when he was our only offense. Game started slipping at that point, and took a bit for Jalen to heat back up.

The energy just looked very low all game —- strip clubs, night life or too much sun?
- Jalen ignoring new uptempo share and care philosophy (got his but this was Thibsian game in many respects)
- Kat sleepwalking all game on D, chucking/ducking on O and still grabbed 18? boards somehow
- OG can’t run without falling down and think he’s got at least 3 air balled 3’s already this year
- Hart has a game suited to be George Mikan’s teammate & I fear his skills trainer is Dr Nesmith ( his D non-existent as blown by all night)
- Clarkson shooting like Ray Charles
- Shamet can only get a shot shooting 29 footers falling out of bounds off baseline on 25 foot wide court
- Yabu was an abomination, Huck blowing bunnies, Kolek quick spurt and then complete dud
Brown appeared dazed and confused perhaps over which stripper to tip.
Watching this game after master class NY Giants game was pure enjoyment

Expectations are high when we get him an open look (which isn't often) but seems less elite knocking down shots sometimes.
He comes across as a guy who feels pressure (shot often rushed).
Think his D has been good but we need to keep finding him some open looks.
Brown's use of Clarkson has been weird - feels like he should be in game a bit sooner rather than sitting ENTIRE 1st quarter (which I think he's done all 3 games unless I'm wrong).

Oof -- a few really bad looks for him tonight and Brown didn't looked thrilled with him at all.
- completely blown by on 1 drive where he was in good initial position (may have been on N Powell)
- then he's late to loose ball under basket, slips to ground with big rear-end landing on Powell for 3 point play
- then he fumbles ball under hoop and as he's falling out of bounds tosses ball right to Miami to start key fast break and bucket
- then he gets potentially key offensive rebound, completes a nice pump-fake to get defender off ground - then completely misses basket on layup
He looks scared some out there --- certainly doesn't provide any shot-blocking or defensive presence you'd ideally want out of a small ball 5.
Rooting for him and Clarkson along with EVERYONE but these 2 are looking shaky --- Clarkson I trust more to come out of it but if Yabu keeps laying turds and doesn't drop (25) he could be moved post Dec and pre Feb.
