If these guys didn’t take entire halves off, we wouldn’t need anybody else to score.

Now I'm happy as hell for Shamet... But really wasnt this the perfect opportunity for M Bridges to step up and have it be the Mikal Bridges game? Shot 28%

Just want to give props to Shamet! Happy for him that he got to experience MSG chanting his name. I was surprised by that "dunk" he had over Ware. I sometimes get frustrated with him not being Steve Novak, but maybe he just needs minutes to get himself in rhythm. He sometimes has these flashes that make you think he could be a star maybe like Kevin Martin was for the Sacramento Kings back in the day or even like DDV was for us. Then he has those games where it seems like he has shooter that can't shoot syndrome. Hopefully Mike Brown has unlocked something within him to thrive in this offense.

To his credit he had 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals, and 2 blocks. I can forgive a tough shooting night if you are contributing in other areas like this.

Vintage OG
His body just doesn't move like the rest of the NBA - every trip down court = potential calamity.

My favorite to watch because he's creative as hell in live game - not afraid.

He was very active in passing lanes and made some big shots - just the shot above the baseline 3's is flat as hell and feels like a prayer when he lets it go.

Yes - better than I thought - in a game with very little D some of those defensive #s were very big.
LivingLegend@ 11/15/2025 12:53 AM
If I'm being honest in 1st half I was wanting Mitch (fouls), Shamet (slow to loose balls) and Hart (roasted on D) all on the bench BUT they all shut me up with big time plays.
Mitch animal on o-glass, Josh physicality really helped and Sham-God simply amazing.

Some nights you just don’t have it but other guys do. He found a way to help the team even struggling: 7 steals and most minutes played by anyone. Dude is a winner thru and thru.

When we signed Shamet i said his career numbers and trajectory were very similar to DDV's when we signed him. Shamet disappointed last season but he was also hurt.
DDV started off really slow here as well, until we had some injuries and he started just letting it fly.
Last night we had injuries, and it was the first time I felt like Shamet was truly free and letting it fly.
Gave me hope that maybe he can be a DDV replacement afterall.
