When we signed Shamet i said his career numbers and trajectory were very similar to DDV's when we signed him. Shamet disappointed last season but he was also hurt.
DDV started off really slow here as well, until we had some injuries and he started just letting it fly.
Last night we had injuries, and it was the first time I felt like Shamet was truly free and letting it fly.
Gave me hope that maybe he can be a DDV replacement afterall.

If you know someone who is trying to get into basketball or you want to introduce them to basketball, you would show them this game. That was nonstop action from start to finish! Without a doubt one of the most fun game I've ever watched!
It'll be remembered as the Landry Shamet game! Career high 36 points with 30 of those coming in the second half! I did not know he had that in him! He was not human! So happy for him! How about that dunk over Ware?!
KAT in that first half had one of the best shooting performances I've ever seen from a Knicks player. 30 points with six threes! He hit 'em from all over!
Mitch was also outstanding in his minutes even though the zebras gave him some cheap screen fouls. He had 8 offensive rebounds in 14 minutes! Insane!! Mikal with 7 steals and 2 blocks! Josh Hart with a triple double 12/12/10! Clarkson with 24 off the bench!! Bench with 75 points!!!
I pains me to say this but kudos to the cHeat! They are much improved from last season and will be dangerous once they get their top guys back. Spo is on another level of coaching! And Powell should def be an All-Star!

Remwmber the days when the Heat/Knick games were 77 to 73 slugfests? We had that at halftime! Also, over 70pts off the bench! You sign Clarkson for games like this...a starter or 2 gies down and we needed a lift.

Again I want to reiterate what I have said before, which is that Mitch's offensive rebounding is analogous to having an elite post scorer. Everytime he crashes the boards there's 2-3 guys trying to battle him and it leads to open shots for guys on the outside. Its pretty much like a post scorer getting double and triple teamed but passing it out of the post for a open shot.

And that is why we really can't trade him. Who can we realistically get that would be able to replace this? Outside of maybe the injured Kessler, I can't think of anyone else.
