amazing situatin in Dallas since the trade. Harrison took the lumps for the trade but Durmont is also at fault.
Lets be real: Mavs made finals without Jalen. They had Kyrie who at his peak is better than Jalen. I not saying I prefer him, or would take Kyrie but in 2024 Kyrie was balling out at very very high level.
Yes, they phucked up letting Jalen go, but they signed Kyrie and he had something to prove.
At the. moment they made that trade for AD, their chances of making finals were higher. Doncic was uber whiney and he was not his best self. Not saying its smart to trade a player entering his 30's is a good idea for one just 25 years old entering his prime. But Donic trajectory was not great. The move to LA lite a fire under him that was missing in Dallas.
Davis was injury prone but a healthy AD with that team, again, Kyrie at his best was on paper a contender.
Then it fell to shit really quickly. Like first game in quickly!
The Flagg thing? Its like the World Trade Center/911 disaster. was it conspiracy? I don't know. If Silver makes the call for th league does he do it with the other owners who also want the next larry bird? I don't buy it, but thats one for the ages! Besides, financially NY and Chicago are also very important markets so why doesn't Silver conspire to help them?

Now Cube is back in the fold and they will build for the future with Flagg. I think cube still owns like 15% of the club still?
And Nico was made the scapegoat. GM is a tough job and somtimes they have to take the hit even if it was an orgnaizational decision. Especially when fan distain is that high it hurts business.

I feel bad for Kidd who extended not thinking it was going to be a rebuild. Maybe he takes asks out for the knick job??
