Up till the NBA Cup, I thought the team was clicking and that it would be hard to break up the chemistry and make a trade.
I no longer think so. In fact, I think the opposite now. With the meltdown over the last few games, I think Leon will be very open to
exploring options and pulling the trigger on a deal. People were saying (even podcasters) that they would not disrupt midseason
with a KAT for Giannis trade and see where we go with this squad, but I think that thinking is out the window.

+1. Towns is weak mentally. I see now why he was traded for Randle who is( was, I have no idea what his mental state is now) also guilty of that
I think they want to see hart and Shamet back. But this is good timing because the deadline is in a month and all options are on the table.

This front office has been leaking to the press how they entered this season primed for a title run.
Well, they are not going to make said run under the current circumstances, but they could by swapping in Giannis for KAT and additional collateral.
I doubt this FO is going to sit on their hands when the most dominant player in the league can be had.
While I did think just 10 days ago, like most Knicks fans, that breaking up the team could risk tampering with the chemistry you should get from continuity, the reality is this core is imploding in ways that are more than just a losing streak.
We're geting our azzes handed to us and and any top team we have in the upcoming schedule has to be licking their chops.
This kind of losing breaks team spirit if it goes on for more than a few weeks and we're in the second week already.
I would be quite shocked if Giannis is not rocking a Knicks jersey this season.
It would be malpractice to not do their best to acquire him.
Losing reveals strength and weaknesses. I rather lose now than in the playoffs. Maybe we are not championship ready or maybe we are. But I believe it’s clear this team needs key roll players to be healthy because the core is flawed. That doesn’t mean we can’t build around this core and win a chip. Just means we are fragile in certain areas and little things adds up to big pressure moments.
I never liked a Towns and JB core. They have similar strengths and weaknesses. But with that type of foundation, players like Josh hart, OG and even shamet along with Mitch and others are key. Their health is key.
If we did nothing, I’m still ok with that because as long as the core is still the same, we will always have the same strengths and weaknesses to overcome. At least they are known weaknesses. BUT if there’s a yanuss for towns trade, that breaks up the core and creates more unknowns.
We played a lot of weak ass teams to pad our gaudy record.

There will be no trade for Giannis without gutting the team.
Yes it’s frustrating to lose 4 in a row but that stuff happens to most teams during the span of any season.
Feel we have a solid team when healthy.
Rose knows that the core is strong and will look for them to get hot at the right time.
Which is in the playoffs. Which I feel will happen if everyone is healthy.
Don’t think KAT, Brunson, OG are 100%.
We don’t have our glue guy right now and we are missing consistent shooting off the bench with Shamet out.
Also seems like some adjustments need to be made on defensive schemes.
Not too worried about current roster. Maybe some small additions but don’t think we need major changes.
Could be nothing, could be Dink, could be something else to come.
