Both Brown and Brunson deserve blame for that

Both Brown and Thibs have been abysmal at running the PnR, the most effective basic play in basketball

Despite his turnovers, OG has been the X factor for this team the past week

They’ve been better since the MLK Day debacle against the mavericks

Keys to the Win:

Stop penetration by Dick

Kolek already has 6 assists

Welcome back

Ah, yes, one of our famously strong 3rd quarters.
ToddTT @ 1/28/2026 9:23 PM
Extend everybody!

We are world-beaters!

Kolek was a big reason for that run he got everyone easy buckets especially bridges

Brunson watching Kolek from the bench

Kolek injured his ankle hopefully not too bad.

Barrett was a good player and I liked him but he certainly didn't warrant the #3 pick. OG is a distinctly superior player.
WP76 @ 1/28/2026 9:35 PM
I love the strength with which OG goes to the rim.
DLeethal @ 1/28/2026 9:36 PM
I haven’t been impressed during any of the previous 3 wins but this run has me believing again. Also worth noting maybe our best defensive stretch of the year came with KAT at the 5. It helps that Toronto really can’t shoot a lick though.

He ended up being the second best player in that draft tied with Herro.

It was a great trade.

Should have kept Precious too.

Avoiding an overpay to retain IQ was also a good move by the FO.

I don't guys who think we could trade OG understand his position in the pecking order on the Knicks. He's not going anywhere.

nycericanguy @ 1/28/2026 9:38 PM
Kolek gets us easier baskets and promotes ball movement. He shouldn't have been taken out of the rotation.

The team looked extremely flat from the end of the Emirates cup through the disastrous MLK game. They’ve played with significantly more intensity on defense since then. Defensive intensity helps the offense.

Towns 22 boards holy cow.

He's a good player. TO generally is better with him than without.

The biggest issue here was he was a terrible combination with Randle. Their games did not complement each other whatsover.
