TBH - I was bitching most of 1st half and early 3rd -- just a myriad of sloppy/sluggish play.
I did NOT see that late 3rd and 4th quarter coming AT ALL.
Mikal was piss poor early - could barely hold onto his dribble and all of a sudden was super man with the shot and running the floor.
Kat looking like Bill Russell grabbing 45 boards -- OG remembering how to play ball and destroying raps.
Have to say Raps just looked like poo all night -- zero spark -- Quick and RJ looked very low/mid.

There’s no way we’re digging out of this hole.
I though the same thing - it looked like the fat lady had sung at 7-0.

Huck is a foul magnet -- Kat must be mentoring him.

Watched Raptor's announcers tonight and they were fearful team might come out flat 1st game back off a successful west coast trip.
Have to say - despite our great 2nd half - Raptors showed zero energy and basically sucked.

It's mind boggling how we can create unforced TO's - very creative squad.
fitzfarm wrote:We are missing McBride and Robinson on back to back. … we are lucky to only be down 4
Was crazy we went into halftime only down 4 -- that gave me hope but still expected to come out dead in 2nd half and be blown out.
fitzfarm wrote:Kolek was a big reason for that run he got everyone easy buckets especially bridges
Yep he was.
The Brunson 1/2 court offense was hard to watch tonight --- him backing guys in from the 3 point line while 4 guys stand around makes me ill.
Kolek got the ball out of his hands quickly to our wings and they seemed to wake up and that was that.

Enigma. 22 boards and could barely score a layup against all 6'9" or shorter guys.
Both soft and a great defensive rebounder -- another thing (rebounding) to think about if we do move him.

TO are midgets next to KAT.
They have no rebounding size out there.
Easy night to get boards.
NOPE - he's a great rebounder (great hands).
He's 2nd in the league in rebounding I think and next closest Knick had 5 boards (he gobbled up everything) and as Grady Dick always says size doesn't matter.

Well, yes, TO was tiny. Their one C didn't play. Perfect night to gobble boards.
It wasn't a negative statement. KAT does lead the league in rebounding and I expected him to get far more than his average against the diminutive lilliputians. Gathering 12 boards would have been underachieving against those oompa loompas.
The fighter mentality is back, when we are fighting we are nice to watch
Deuce is a conundrum. He’s awesome but sucks at backup PG. Kolek needs those mins IMO. Deuce should be fully off ball.
You will all thank me for giving up and going to bed early in the third

Watching that first half it was extremely difficult to predict what was going to come. I was pretty down at halftime, did not see that run coming.
Mikal's quote gives me hope that we are turning a corner with team chemistry and morale. when he's on and cutting and just flying all over the court like that he's really good and can score 20 a game without even having any set plays.
Winning in TOR without Mitch, Deuce and with KAT & Brunson having off nights was huge. Please dont take Kolek out of the rotation again, felt like Brown was panicking instead of letting Kolek play trough some rough spots. the man was a HUGE reason why we won the cup, he promotes ball movement like no one else on the team.
