If KAT is not making dumb fouls and missing wild drive attempts, and playing contained, he impacts the game in a lot of ways even if he's not scoring consistently. A complete vacuum on the boards and really turns the stops we get on D into great opportunities on O with his outlets. Our team is really bad on the break in general so those give us a big lift.

he's a good passer but it doesn't seem he really takes joy in it. He seems to only be happy if he's scoring and getting foul calls. his entire existence seems to be wanting fouls called...lol. its really bizarre. IDK how he can watch footage of himself on a game to game basis and not cringe.

Yea it's way over the top. But he's an "over the top" dude lol

He’s from Jersey, but also he has a right to freak out he gets fouled on 80% of his drives . They just can’t call that many …

He should take the approach of not complaining and see how many whistles he gets … like literally do not say one peep to the refs other then compliments… because he deserves to go to the line 10+ times a game … I think he just pisses the refs off so they call the bare minimum.

I hope Mike brown talks to him about this.

KAT is a beast and the most under appreciated player on the team he needs to use that as fuel . We need KAT to be at his best all around come playoffs.

He hasn't been unlocked. To me that means- not complaining, not forcing shots at rim( has no counter moves, no up and under , no nothing, and don't make those shots consistently enough) instead pass it. Josh Hart is automatic at the rim while Towns makes like one out of 3. So those 2 things and not fouling= unlocked KAT
1)Stop complaining
2)Add a passing option while driving
3)Stop fouling

The reason KAT gets fouled so often is he rumbles into the paint at full stride regardless of the defenders in front of him. Considering he's fairly awkward in his movements and his arms are always flailing about, of course he is making contact every time he goes inside. He doesn't get the calls he wants because he initiates most of it and the refs get tired of trying to figure out who started what. With all the whining, he gets tuned out.

What I think is misunderstood about KAT is he is blessed with great hands, but he is otherwise clumsy as an ox. The result is he gets shots to go in that probably shouldn't convert because of his great hand-eye coordination and shooting touch, but otherwise he is about as subtle as a runaway train with his moves.

If KAT didn't have the incredible touch he has he'd be a below average scorer, because the majority of his moves are telegraphed and have no finesse. Once he commits to a move he bulls his way in without making adjustments 90% of the time.

Randle had similar issues with his spin dribbles into double coverage in the paint. He'd get stripped all the time. He eventually cleaned that up before he was traded, but the majority of his time here he was bulling his way into defenses. He's better suited for bully ball physique wise, but KAT is so big that he relies on bully ball more than he should, because it is not really the best aspect of his offensive game.

KAT doesn't sell the calls. Melo was the same way. Outside of egregious missed calls that happen to everyone a couple times a game, I rarely see KAT flail to the basket and say "he should get a call here" and he doesn't get a call. He's always complaining about stuff that doesn't even look like an NBA foul. He initiates a lot of the contact and doesn't do a good job selling it to get an NBA foul call.

KAT is not an astute guy. Guys who aim to win it all factor in their relationships with the refs. No stone goes unturned.

KAT just lives in the moment. He's myopic and lacks the maturity to understand his whining will result in less calls, not more.
