I love his energy and also think Leon et al. have a good read on things. He could be very good situationally.

that said, I am worried about a smaller guard when you look at the Pistons' guards, SA and OKC.

i mean he's a situational player. lets put it this way, we probably beat IND and don't collapse game 1 last year if we had him. Deuce & Brunson cannot handle backcourt pressure too well.

My one concern is that we overvalued him because the way he has played against us, i.e., a team w a small back court and where his foot speed helps stay in front of our guys. But Cade, Shai, Castle he'll be a liability.

I'm hoping that his situations will be more like being a full court pest against those guys to tire them down, chew up some clock. Microwave but on defense.

We got our annoying little (*****) Guy!!!!!
A Buzzing little dude to throw off players timing. Should be fun with Josh and help the Demon do their things!

What are the picks?

Low price, good financial flex, seems like a solid move.
Becareful to not become too enamored by the video highlights.
Well, now we also know why Deuce was not traded. Seems wierd the injury comes up this week? Was there a physical as a prerequisite to a deal???

Have to imagine FO knew and kept it under wraps to avoid getting fleeced in any deals.

Similar culture trade to Josh Hart. Love it

Middleton is an interesting one but would love to get an insurance big.

According to reports, Cam Thomas and Chris Boucher to be waived already.

Cam Thomas to be waived? I suppose if Nets won't resign him might as well move him along.

Great replacement for Deuce, but even better since GTA can run point for the second unit. Now we have dogs at every position:
1. Deuce
2. Mikal
3. Josh
4. OG
5. Money Mitch
6. GTA

martin @ 2/5/2026 4:06 PM
Karl/Mitch/Huk/Jemison
OG/Mo D/Dadiet
Hart/Shamet/McCullar
Mikal/Deuce/Clarkson
Brunson/Alvarado/Kolek

We may never see Clarkson again, even with Deuce out. He went from 6th man to 14th man

martin @ 2/5/2026 4:12 PM
Agreed

Kolek can’t either.

you're right but I think he has the potential to improve. sometimes i still see the rookie nerves with him.
