Knicks · Could Pacome Dadiet Be Ready To Level Up (page 1)

Rookie @ 2/9/2026 2:36 PM
Dadiet got some court time at the end of the Celtics game in garbage time. He looks more fit to me like he’s lost the baby fat and is starting to cut a V shape in his Knicks jersey. I don’t see an avenue for minutes here with this team but I would like him to be a success story for this franchise. At 20 years young, he could be ready to level up his game. I have to admit that I was giving up on him as just another soft French player not long for the nba.

Brunson / GTA
Hart / Deuce
Bridges / Dadiet
OG / Diawara
KAT / Robinson

I mean, the SF minutes are there for the taking. I think he has to unlock tenacity / footwork on defense. Off ball movement on offense.

Has to decide whether he is more like Kevin Knox or Kevin Durant.

I had high hopes for him this year. Now if he came in and showed us what Diawara (who I didn't realize is actually a few months older than Pacome) has so far, I'd have been thrilled!

I have lost a bit of hope on him, especially with McCullar leaping him in an extended rotation, but he's strung together some nice stretches in GLeague, and has the perfect template for success in watching Mo's path to minutes.

no

even before the season the only youth we have that I'm confident in are MO & Kolek, and McCullar to a much lesser extent. Dadiet, Huk.. never see it with them. guys develop differently but MO showed more in 1 SL game than Dadiet ever has.

Dadiet seems so similar to Kevin Knox. The shot looks nice, he has great size for a forward. He just looks the part. But it just seems so far off from actually translating.

Dadiet is still younger than Deuce when he came into the league. By more than a year. And it took Deuce 2 years after that to figure out how to shoot.

Dadiet in Gleague looks the part. IMHO he would be a very very good college player. Lottery type.

I’d like to see more motor. I accept the “young” comment.

This is interesting and I don’t disagree. He would be a major college player for sure. Just need to see some of it eventually translate.

He has puppy dog energy

He's still young but he doesn't look like an NBA player.
Swishfm3 @ 2/13/2026 10:52 PM
Nah. Time to cut ties after the season.

Between Diawara, Kolek, McCullar and Hukporti, we have enough players to develop and can prove valuable in the near future.
(I would even add Trey Jamison to this mix)

With these guys, plus Deuce, I like where the Knicks are at today and the future.

Pacome will be valuable as the Knicks likely hope he is chosen in the expansion draft due his age and potential for a new team
