I was seated in the Chase Bridge for this game and when Brunson made that shot over Eason to give the Knicks their first lead of the second half the bridge started shaking from everyone jumping up and down.

So where does Tim Duncan (who has more rings than Shaq and just as many as Kobe) fit into this theory Barkley has? Where does Steph Curry fit?
Don’t much matter to me, definitely fits KAT
Some players are stoic outwardly. Jalen does complain but not like KAT. Duncan was a stone cold Killer.
Magic Johnson was also very nice OUTWARDLY!
Lets not confuse some players smiling as not being a killer.
Shaq also had a playful personality at times.
OG? Also very stoic. I'd say he is a killer.

It is weird considering MO did multiple excellent things in the few seconds he was on the court
How does Sochan move ahead of him?
Didn’t their minutes overlap and both got only 4 total? Neither seems to be taking any minutes
They did - I don't get why Brown continues to play Sochan next to Mitch (YUCK).
By the way Mitch has played like crap past 2 games and I think this was a trend pre all star break as well.
Something still way off with this squad game to game with the effort and cohesion -- just something not fully connected.

I meant it is weird that Mo would step on the court, do something sensational and them immediately be sat down. 2 Minutes per half does not compute
He is pre-determining how many minutes Sochan/Mo are going to get and IMO it's because he doesn't want to completely piss off one of the starters (ex. Mikal/Josh). Josh needs to WTFU -- he is often just asleep defensively.
Last night early in game - Thompson dribbling down on semi break with entire defense back. Josh inexplicably kind of lunges to his right (no idea why) and Thompson simply dribble right by to the rim. Josh in turn throws hands up at teammates and acts like somebody else's fault. When he guarded KD it was automatic bucket.

Veteran
Brown said as much and I tend to agree with him.
He basically said that guys like Sochan/Alvarado know the league - more importantly they know the refs and the refs know them.
Mo has been a nice story (love him) but our expectations were set very low (easy to exceed). If you watch him defensively he's coming on (he's coming on strong on both sides) but even Sochan with his offensive deficiencies is a much more experienced defender (particularly when moving his feet). Often time in this league you put a rookie in a playoff game and immediately the ref bangs fouls on them.
The above said - I think Brown still needs to give Mo a bigger leash but I do think he's afraid of upsetting some vets and potentially causing friction in the locker room. Seems Mikal is soft both on the court and maybe off it.

Oh yes, I read it wrong.
I’ll understand Sochan’s minutes when he is trying to slow guys down one on one, that’s just playoff prep.
Did anyone catch a mistake by Mo? Gotta be that, it’s happened many times over.
Mo got taken off the dribble once but I don't think that's it because Hart gets dribbled by all night long. I just think he's trying to keep vet minutes at the point nobody starts bitching/moaning down the stretch.
I'd like to see both Mo/Sochan get more minutes but don't like Brown playing Sochan next to Mitch and also playing Mo with those 2 rather than a Mikal to get him going offensively.
martin wrote:Knicks formula should be highlighting KAT or having him the 1A guy for 3+ quarters with guys finding their way around him.And then Brunson should own the 4th.
Should be that hard?
I don't disagree and I really like the focus with Kat playing out of post and with back to basket.
Major issues with this often times are....
- Jalen ignores
- Kat gets in foul trouble
- Kat floats around without demanding ball
- Kat lets guys push him off the court instead of holding position (he let them push him way out last night even with great game)
I do agree - more Kat early more Jalen late -- been ignoring Kat for entire 1st quarters for 2 years now.

Not sure how he knocked that shot down.
