DLeethal wrote:Best win of the year for sure. No real back and forth or swings, complete control of the game for the final 40 minutes against a bonafide championship level team riding an 11 game winning streak.
I would agree.
It is their best performance this season coming at the beginning of a week that tests their resolve.
They passed the first test of the week with flying colors.
Let's see if they have found the inner strength to bring that level of collective effort every game.
Defense wins championships. Today was at that level. Do that on the regular and you're in the conversation again.
Music to the ears, when you read it aloud

Mikal feels like a guy we will all find reasons to bitch about (often for good reason) but at same time has ability of someone who could go off in game 6 of finals (same for OG).

I guess that's the confidence you need to have -- would have never pegged this kid would be doing this.
If anything thought he might be a defensive only guy but TBH assumed he'd be a G-League and forget guy.

Basically all that's going to matter is will he keep teams honest depending on the playoff match-up.
For me - it's less the shooting and it's way more the often times casual D, falling asleep off the ball, the passes to nobody and just the foolish Kat like fouls where he will just whack guys who are shooting for no good reason.

We talking KAT or Josh?

This team looks like a legit contender when they are locked in on defense. Spurs came in on a 11 game win streak averaging 125 ppg and we annihilated them and held them to 89 points on 42% shooting and 54 to 41!
Mikal was awesome! The defense, the corner threes, the midrange j's, he was all over the place! He get's up to play that team for some weird reason and just looks like a different player. The Cap also deserves a lot of credit. He sparked that 26-2 run early in the game where we got down and couldn't hit a shot.
Hart was pissing me off passing up open shots to drive but he had a really good second half with his passing and attacking the rim. Shamet has almost duplicated what DVo used to give us. His shot making, effort on defense and finishing at the rim has been really good the last few weeks. That dunk was sick!! I also thought KAT had a solid game. Made some moves down low and played good defense on Wemby. But I agree with him on that charge. That was BS!
Like most of you I'm also getting giddy about Mo Diawara! 19 years old and plays fearless! 14 shots in 14 minutes LMAO!!! I LOVE THAT!!! And he is not chucking! This is not like Alonzo Trier or Kevin Knox just trying to get numbers. This kid is taking good shots! Teams so not respect him or know him yet so he's making them pay! His defense and handle are also exciting!
Also a huge thank you to ABC and ESPN for having Ryan Roucco and Mike Malone call the game cause it was almost life changing from having to listen to Doris Burke or Reggie Miller or Stan Van Gundy!

We matchup really well with almost all the teams in the NBA. The teams we don't matchup well are long and physical teams like Detroit and Houston.
