I was wrong to think Knicks could run away with the east.
While I always am weary of the "it team", I did not fathom Pistons could do it wire to wire.
I was wrong to be scared of Clev. That was with a healthy Garland. I think fixed it with Harden. My fear exists but for differrent reason. Harden makes them better.
I was wrong to think (Like many) Boston would tank or suck. Boy was I wrong.
I was wrong to think Lamelo and CLT would suck. they don't.
I was Wrong Mikal would have a wonderful season. Early it looked good.
I was Wrong to think Mitch would make it all the way thru. Still early but the formula is proper.
I was Wrong to think Kolek might be out of the league by end of this season. He can play. Im not harping like others for him being in the rotatation over GTA.
I was Wrong to think Landry was a good signing. Nope, it was a great one!!!!
I was wrong to think Deuce would have a bit of a break out season. Shit happens.
No team has a clear path as a favorite out of the east. In fact outside of defending champ OKC really should anyone be suprised at an upset. Herro is cooking in Miami and what ever they are doing is working for now.
Anyone else want to enter the confession box and man up?

Mikal started the season on fire, but he's a mystery now. None of us understand him at this point.
Landry is an essential player now, for sure.
I think you were correct about Deuce. He was breaking out. Shame he went down.
Nobody knew DET would excel like this.
Kolek's value will become more obvious if Brunson can't play.
I thought we would be the best team in the East too, but we're not at this point. The only thing that would make me believe they are the favorite to win the ECF is if they show they can play lock down defense when their offense is sputtering. Championship teams know how to get stops when their offense is stalled. This team does not. If they are not clicking on offense, they rarely respond by upping their defensive intensity. Instead, the team goes into funks, sometimes for multiple games, which is not what you want to see. D wins chips. Until they show me they will play elite D regardless of their offensive flow I will not be that confident about their ability to truly contend.
Coach that got us that far, new coach thats getting us further
I was wrong to think... nope I got nothin'. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m not concerned about Mikal. He plays every game to keep the streak going so it requires some coasting. This is late season cruise control for him. He will turn it up in the playoffs like last year.

He was our most clutch defender last playoffs, no doubt about that
I was wrong to think that maybe I was wrong about Mikal.
I was wrong to think that Huk could be an impact player this year.
I was wrong to think that Mo D wouldn't sniff NBA court time and would be another wasted pick on a French marshmallow.

Mo D becoming a star would be the ultimate overcorrection for all of our French failures.

No need for this buddy. I already go in thinking everything you say is wrong.

That would weis the slate clean
I was wrong to think Yabu would be a perfect fit here. We really should have kept Precious instead. We miss the versatility that he gave us defensively. The Paul Reed’s of the world were nullified by Precious I think. Plus it was bad karma because we let him go when we owned his bird rights.

I miss Precious
I liked saying his name too
Precious
I was wrong in thinking that Brunson and Towns can play effective PnR. Like Stockton and Malone. I wasn't wrong about Shamet tho!! Everyone should man up to projecting him as an end of the bench player instead of a perfect 6th man/ borderline starter

Brunson could lead the league in assists just feeding KAT on PnRs. It's crazy that he doesn't do it that much. I seriously doubt it is due to the coaching staff. It kind of has to be a Brunson thing plus maybe a little bit about how KAT screens and rolls, but I think it's mostly a Brunson thing.
I was wrong about Phil. I could not fathom this former knick, and one with 11 rings as a coach could possliblty be that bad. This was a man of intelect and insight.
I was not that long after his last ring and that the Triangle would become so antiquated so fast.
He was a stubborn tired man whose ego got the best of him.
He did not want the gig. Dolan gave him a treasure of riches or "an offer he could not refuse".
It at least bought an end to the starphuch era.
The Mills era was brief. Thank goodness!

He saw 5 years guaranteed and knew he'd get the full $50M regardless of how long he kept the job.
It was evident from day 1 he had no intention of working the full five years.
The way he was peacocking to the press at the beginning or bragging how he did not have an extensive network of contacts around the league and didn't need them showed such an abundance of hubris from the get-go that he was tempting the basketball gods to strike him down and whisk him off to his ranch in Montana to count his money.

When a coach allows his team to run the offense without predictability or structure, sounds good on paper. But it also gives JB the green light to be JB. And he’s a scorer first. KAT is used to being the offensive system and said this was the first time he touch the ball less than anytime in his career.
If Mike brown wanted to run more PnR he would’ve created some plays for that. But allowing the team to run their own offense exaggerates the starting 5s flaws more than their strengths. Which is why KAT seems less involved and the offensive synergy is low, which affects their defense.
I was wrong to think Nalod would ever create a thread about being wrong, because he always thinks he’s right.
blkexec wrote:I was wrong to think Nalod would ever create a thread about being wrong, because he always thinks he’s right.
Its not a question of "being right", its accuracy. I don't think it, im demonstrating it.
If an opinion, its a softer presentation and stated as such.
If I am often right, well then so be it. I don't often do predictions nor pretend I know otherwise.
Thats not arrogant, thats just being respectful to the participants here.
I’m trying but I got nothing
I am surprised noone wants to eat some crow about Shamet. There is still time
