Let the chips fall where they may but I'd love to see some of the other guys - Shamet, Deuce, Mo, Sochan - get more minutes as appropriate if OG is out for a game.

You can make the case he should play if he feels ok. Ending a series early is rest too for everyone. All depends on how he feels

There's risk with any decision we make at this point. I'd err on side of being conserative and hold him out at least both game 3 and 4. If we win 1 of those 2 I may even prefer to hold him out in game 5 as well. I know we have to get past Sixers to even play Detroit but I think we can all agree that we need OG at full strength to have a good shot at beating Detroit this year. Philly will throw everything at us next game and really should win the next game - if they don't they are truly broken and will lose in 4 or 5. I'd go with Shamet as he is plug and play, offers more size vs Deuce and can get hot. I would keep Deuce as a spark off the bench. The way Shamet positions himself on offense is better for our iso heavy style with Brunson at time. Deuce can dance off the bench as we need that type of movement with the reserves. Wonder if Embiid will play game 3?

Just watched this game for the first time ( replay) wtf happened? Our offense kinda fell apart, compared to the previous 4 games. It looked like we went back to mostly ISO. I guess Towns being in foul trouble is the reason. We only have two guys that setup others,Towns and Kolek. And since Kolek is not in the rotation the opposing team just has to go at Towns to get him in foul trouble and our offense becomes crap. It really looked like we had no business winning this game. I hope we return to playing our style of basketball in Philadelphia

Rest him game 3. If we win, rest him game 4 too.

That was some real veteran play because for the first five minutes the Knicks were jacking up 3 pointers and after they missed some wide open attempts that had been going down before, they just switched to relentlessly getting into the paint. The Celtics they are not.

2-0 but it's not over. The OG injury really concerning.
Maybe he was 'sick' because Embiid wasn't playing.

Kolek and Diawa. I understand ths excitement for their futures but Kolek has not played in some time any real minutes and Diawa did come back to earth and did not know where to be on defense at times.
I was thinking the same about Sochan. When he came in for Huk, I was thinking: "Wow, this should be interesting." "Where did I read that article about him being an elite rebounder?" "He played PG for Pop for a season right? Can the Knicks run those same flex sets as they do with KAT?" "Wait, where the fuck is he? Back on the bench???"

Agree completely! Just sit him out until he's 100%.

C'mon, Knicks found a way to win, that's good enough.
Also asst% last two games were 62% and 64%. So about the same amount of iso. Biggest difference is they went from 50% to 28% on threes, which is always going to have a lot of luck based variation.
