This Hack a Mitch thing is killing me. I wish he would just v learn to put some arc on the ball. But absent that, I think the strategy is to have Mitch start quarters, wherein the other team is not in the penalty, nullified that strategy cause it won't put him on the line and If they do, it will just put them in the penalty the whole game.

Is there a penalty for intentionally missing? Like bounce it really strong from the backboard on the second attempt and try to get an offensive rebound?
ramtour420@ 5/9/2026 12:09 PM
Shoot underhand? Granny style?

No. People sometimes do that when the clock is almost done at the end of tight games.

Caution. This video is not safe for Knicks fans with eyeballs.

I sort of like the idea of telling Mitch to intentionally miss. The law of averages says he'll actually hit more FTs that way!!! . (and if he doesn't hit more FTs, then we claim the benefit it was all according to plan)
Seriously though if Drummond can get up to 60+% then so can Mitch.

Shoot free throws one handed like Mase.

No one likes playing Mitch at the start of quarters to prevent the strategy in the first place?

If Mitch was our starting center that would be the best strategy. However, we have Towns who needs to start. So we cannot really go with Mitch from the get go for that reason. Putting someone in the starting lineup because he is the worst free throws shooter would be bad for team chemistry and psychology. It's like you are rewarding a player for not working on his game.

Only if you miss the rim.

However if No Mitch starts and the other team hacks him the team goes quickly to the penalty while keeping Kat away from. quick early fouls. Just playing devil's advocate

The best strategy is for Mitch to hit his free throws. It’s maddening. He has to know he could potentially double his income if he could hit FTs and avoid injuries.

Also, I didn't say to sit KAT. You can start with double bigs. Or start all the other quarters with KAT resting and come in at the 8 minute mark for the rest of the quarters this way technically he's starting if egos matter.
Philc1@ 5/11/2026 9:31 AM
Mitch may end having to start against the pistons. Alongside KAT. Brown will first try Deuce starting at SG but I prefer Mitch starting to nullify Hack-a-Mitch.
