"fuck them picks".........if you want more, gotta replenish the stock pile. Maybe Dadiet at 6-8 and can shoot is in the plans long term? Maybe the great Walt Perrin was not as enthusiastic for prospects as he is for this kid? Love McCuller? Well maybe he sticks. "Kolek Fever"......You loved him in year two, you might see him in year three? Mo........Our bonafide legit prospect of some measure. Socahan? Doubt he's back, but the kid might be our backup 4 project? No Draft pick was going to fill in for the back up 5 if mitch bolts. Zuby might have been a good one. But where does he fit?
Knick players deserve to run it back for at least a victory lap.
Not sure any of this mattered. Think the simple reason for opting out of the draft was to stay out of the Second apron.
Yes. But if it all does not matter why are we here? LOL.......
Was hoping we pulled off No. 24 for Giannis. Thinking that if there was someone worthwhile to pick Rose would have done it. Which would have probably kissed both Shamet and MR goodbye. As well as Deuce’s extension. Agree with you that we already have picks to develop. Why add more.

None, but you obviously get the extras. It’s the type of deal you sign the second rounder to
Well hopefully unless we get a great deal from someone ( #1 future pick) then we keep the pick and draft the best player for us. I have a feeling though that we are trading the pick

Brock Aller after he trades the 31st pick tonight

The NBA veteran minimum contract varies based on a player's exact years of service, ranging from $2,296,274 for a player with two years of experience to $3,634,153 for a veteran with 10 or more seasons under their belt.
The NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement ties minimum player salaries to the overall league salary cap. Because the league encourages teams to sign seasoned veterans over younger players, if a team signs a player with three or more years of experience to a one-year, minimum-salary contract, the team is only charged the equivalent of a two-year veteran minimum against their salary cap, with the NBA reimbursing the rest of the player's salary.
I still don’t understand what that second paragraph means but generally speaking I’m expecting us to sign a couple veteran minimum deals and draft a couple of players to sign to 2way contracts.
This leaves the 31st pick as a big question mark. Veesaar is sitting there and is a VERY good player. Skilled 7’ers like him who can stretch the floor and defend are perfect for a second unit that wants to play with pace. I hope we don’t trade this pick. We could sign Veesaar to a multi year second round exemption contract

I'd put a lot of money on us trading completely out of this draft. It just doesn't make sense to add a rookie and that salary onto this team.
We have enough young players anyway!

Agreed .
We can also add a few vet min guys that can contribute from day 1

2nd rounders can sign for less than vet min, so it could make sense to draft a couple of guys even if they wont play.

Yes it’s essentially 1.4M in year 1.

We will probably take a flyer on 2 guys at that price point with big potential somewhere in the 2nd round.
Find 2 DAWGS that have shown flashes of adding a three point shot. Or a McCullar type who maybe needs a year of rehab, but has first round talent/college production.

Knicks have had success w centers. I wouldn’t complain w veesar but many of their picks were nearly unknown. They even had torontos center in our gleague.
I’d keep the pick barring some great offer and get the duke or Arkansas guard as they each bring more length and ability to be impactful on offense too

Yes, there are 3 solid choices there at 31. Evans reminds me a little of DDV. Fearless shooter with a quick release and can shoot off of the dribble. Active with very good athleticism and length.

Second time I've checked out this guy. He grew on me.
I like his mobility and scoring touch. He could be very effective due to his off the ball ability in a motion offense
And he can board
We need size. Draft him and let the staff beef him up a little and the coaches can level up his defense
As a 2nd unit C he doesn't have to be a bully. Huk is not exactly a bully either. The only one that we have like that is Mitch and if he comes back, a C like this adds diversity to our attack.
You could very easily play this guy with another C on the floor due to his mobility. He can essentially be our PF pick if you see it through that lens
martin@ 6/24/2026 1:51 PM
Well, we should all be glad that Loose Labia is back into the fold?

That’s who I would choose, and I’m generally skeptical of duke players.

Reacquiring 2 draft rights guys they previously owned is GOAT-level stuff for this fun game Brock plays where he needs draft rights guys with every trade.

I like him too. Seems to be the more modern NBA big, but Knicks didn't work him out (as far as I can tell). The one they did work out who is still available and may be more similar to Mitch is Ugonna Onyenso from Virginia
