Thinking that if there was someone worthwhile to pick Rose would have done it. Which would have probably kissed both Shamet and MR goodbye. As well as Deuce’s extension.
Agree with you that we already have picks to develop. Why add more.

The NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement ties minimum player salaries to the overall league salary cap. Because the league encourages teams to sign seasoned veterans over younger players, if a team signs a player with three or more years of experience to a one-year, minimum-salary contract, the team is only charged the equivalent of a two-year veteran minimum against their salary cap, with the NBA reimbursing the rest of the player's salary.

I still don’t understand what that second paragraph means but generally speaking I’m expecting us to sign a couple veteran minimum deals and draft a couple of players to sign to 2way contracts.

This leaves the 31st pick as a big question mark. Veesaar is sitting there and is a VERY good player. Skilled 7’ers like him who can stretch the floor and defend are perfect for a second unit that wants to play with pace. I hope we don’t trade this pick. We could sign Veesaar to a multi year second round exemption contract

We have enough young players anyway!

2nd rounders can sign for less than vet min, so it could make sense to draft a couple of guys even if they wont play.

We will probably take a flyer on 2 guys at that price point with big potential somewhere in the 2nd round.

Find 2 DAWGS that have shown flashes of adding a three point shot. Or a McCullar type who maybe needs a year of rehab, but has first round talent/college production.

I’d keep the pick barring some great offer and get the duke or Arkansas guard as they each bring more length and ability to be impactful on offense too

Yes, there are 3 solid choices there at 31. Evans reminds me a little of DDV. Fearless shooter with a quick release and can shoot off of the dribble. Active with very good athleticism and length.

As a 2nd unit C he doesn't have to be a bully. Huk is not exactly a bully either. The only one that we have like that is Mitch and if he comes back, a C like this adds diversity to our attack.

You could very easily play this guy with another C on the floor due to his mobility. He can essentially be our PF pick if you see it through that lens

Reacquiring 2 draft rights guys they previously owned is GOAT-level stuff for this fun game Brock plays where he needs draft rights guys with every trade.

I like him too. Seems to be the more modern NBA big, but Knicks didn't work him out (as far as I can tell).
The one they did work out who is still available and may be more similar to Mitch is Ugonna Onyenso from Virginia
