Knicks · This is for the "Day One's" that bleed blue & orange... (page 3)

My worry is that I think I might cry if/when we win the championship. My wife and kids has only seen me cry a few times and never on any of their accomplishments. Hope they understand.

I hear you....but thinking about those dark days are making me appreciate every single minute of this run and not taking it for granted.

We had some funny freaking moments on this board during those days.

This is our guy Emir aka ActionJackson. He came out to play basketball with us that time in Riverside Park

I remember him! He is a good dude!

That’s ok if the Knicks win it all I will have a manly cry myself. I was around for the Jordan years with the refs kissing his ass, the 1994 choke, 1999, and then 20 years of torture with the media gladly piling on us everyday all f cking day. Let’s go Knicks.

blkexec @ 6/5/2026 9:54 AM
All I could imagine was my dad and mom arguing over who needs to change my diaper during the Knicks last championship run. Now I’m having a similar argument with my wife. Who’s going to change my diaper now after we win. Lol
Nalod @ 6/5/2026 10:17 AM

IM gonna smile a lot if it happens. I did not read media all day long for 20 years thinking I was being victimized. Knicks had bad seasons bought on by bad decisons and some bad people running the club. They earned mistrust even when things were going good. Starphcking and signiing old players is a nice buzz but not sustainable. Things changed when the culture changed. When was that? LOL....Earllier than most want to admit.

Personally I don't care who disrespected us by not being "favorites" becuase in the end we have not either had the best record in the league or conference, and no chips to show for it. A 53 win team that had yet to find it stride was not to be respeccted as such. No one said knicks could not do it, they just had no basis for it. They thought we should have finished ahead of Detroit and Boston. Me too.
SAS had the inseason records for media to swagger about. They also beat OKC. Nobody said Knicks don't have a chance. Not like 1999.

I smiled all season. I did not go away or look forward to next year. You saw my writings.......2-9 sucked. But I thought it was possible they were working on shit. Did not call out Brunson, want KAt traded, etc. Hey, I get it, it looked bad and emotions run.

Cry if one must. Tears of joy are not a bad thing. Hell, get a tatoo if you feel a part of it. Say you never stopped "Beleiving!".
If you here 20 years you never stopped!!!! its why we all here.
None of the past will be erased. Jordan will still be there and the scars caused will never go away. Hate Lebron, Durant, silver, Harden, Westbrick, Dirk, Becky, etc, etc as proxies for what was really missing: Knicks success and a chip! I said this years ago: "the failure of others don't make me feel better as long as we take care of our business". We succeed who cares about others?
Knicks win this chip media will love them. Some of you will be upset as "sure now they on board". Thats how it works. Fuck the media, just enjoy the win!

This series is not over and our hearts can still be ripped out. Might be ok to book the appointment but I would not get that tatoo yet!

Good luck guys! Cry, laugh, smile, Bing Bong, circle jerk, what ever........ get it out, enjoy the ride and hope for the best! WE can build statues of Jalen but he has to bring it home first!

whats up you rascals!

Been thinking of you wonderful people and enjoying every moment of this run. Not really doing much on screens these days but I have been enjoying every moment of this run. Really feels like we were knocking on the door last year and this is a continuation of that. Lets not forget we smoked the defending champs last year. This feels right. God I hope we can finish this

Much love to all you who have endured this dysfunctional relation for so long. This is a special team and it might be one of my favorite sports teams ever.

Did your wife and kids win an NBA ring?

Then cry away.

The sun, moon, and stars all aligned at the moment!
We all here arguing anyway. Some think the moon should have been traded while sun is not given enough credit.
Same shit.
same fun!

As a long time Knicks fan, it if I hard to describe what I am feeling. Wow, the Knicks are going to win the finals. We hope it comes true every season but to actually finally see it. Wow.
Nalod @ 6/6/2026 1:07 PM
If im SAS someone is saying.....

"we won 60 games this year, beat the champs.......knicks came in to our house and won two that means we can go to their house and win two! If you don't believe that sit your ass down. We young, strong, and as fast as they put that streak together is as fast we can start ours and crack their asses"............

Now im confident knicks understand this. THey are a well oiled exeperienced team with poise over youth. You hear they are complimentary to the spurs and Wemby giving nothing for them to put on a board to be motivated by. Knicks know SAS is coming hard. They got to finals with a resolve beyond their years.

To be champs you have to plow thru bad luck, injury, pain, bad calls, conspiracy nonsense, and yes, clown music.
Knicks have to be better than "Its unfair". Stick to fundamentals. Maybe wemby hits that shot and its tied. Boo fucking hoo! Be better than Tony Brothers. Better than clown music. Think Mike Brown has not learned along the way? Jalen is a champion. Fox is not the only player to stare him down. He stared him right back. Spurs came on. Knicks did not blow a lead, Spurs clawed back. If Knicks take leads for granted they crumpble. Respect the Spurs and counter. THey held on. That was not luck, that was preperation. Poise. A team wll rested that had its fundamentals down. They earned that rest and go to sharpen their saws.

End of the day mitch defended the shot well and gave nothing for the refs to call and put Wemby on the line. He was better than the moment.
I won't be suprised nor despondnet if SAS wins next game. If KNicks don't respond for game 4 to go up 3-1 then they are not better at that moment.
Maybe we win by 30 pts on Monday, maybe we lose.

Rest asured SAS is coming hard. They coming dirty. Maybe they come undone trying. Maybe they find something and execute knicks can't counter. We don't have to know it. We are not playing, but rest assured Brown and the how many coaches they got do. Think Mo Cheeks don't know a thing or two about falling short? Then winning? Of course he does. Knowledge is when you live it. Information is what we read and retain.

Sorry, Im not celebrating this quite yet. We were a 53 win team that came together wonderfully. This playoff fun is not a coronation of a destiny long season swiping away the lessor like insignificant gnats!

I feel good. But shit happens. Epic devistating life long things. Bill Buckner shit. Remember Boston down 3-0 vs yanks and no team ever came back from that? I turned to Mrs Nalod when they said that replied: "The longer that goes on the shorter the time will come when thats no longer". I did not see it coming. I was annoyed by it. Not that fan arrogance had a thing to do with it. No jinx........Just statistical probabilties. All these tweets blowing smoke up our asses about how great this historic run is fun guidposts but means nothing until Knicks win it. Patirots undefeated season? Not celebrated is it? Warriors 73 win season? A great accomplishment? Nope.

There are ghosts from past. Can't type history into existance. It need be acomplished
Spurs are not done until the math is completed and the confetti fills the air.

Knicks defied odds getting here in the fasion they did. Its been wonderful. Im confident. I feel good. But I am not oblivious to history.

Hey Yo!! Blast from the past!!!
Knixkik @ 6/6/2026 8:09 PM
I have been one of the consistently positive posters here in the sense where I have always tried to see the good in every trade, outcome, draft pick , so on. I can’t operate in a way that doesn’t have some light at the end of the tunnel. I have had to try really hard to convince myself of a lot of things on this board over the years. And given the results, I’ve clearly been wrong… a lot. My basketball background gets clouded by these Knicks and I can’t help myself. Im glad that not wavering finally paid off for me. I was starting to think it never would. In addition to this special playoff run, I am just enjoying the continuity this team has. We had brand new rosters every year up until the last few years. This has been a really good 4 year run since Brunson arrived, followed by Hart, then OG, then Bridges and Towns. Mitch and Deuce have been mainstays for many years as well. It is like this insane over-correction of stability that has led to sustained year-over-year improvement. And what’s great is I don’t feel like we are hitting some sort of conclusion. I think we have many more years with this particular group. We are right in the middle of this special decade-long run that will be viewed as possibly the best era of Knick basketball when it’s all said and done. Just an incredible ride we are on.
