Knicks · Your NY Knicks are the 2025/26 NBA Champions (page 1)

What a long strange ride it’s been. I stayed up late watching our Knicks celebrate on the Spurs home court. They can all get in their clown cars and fck off Knicks are World Champions. Heck, they should even hang their 2025/26 NBA cup banner now that it’s validated. Brunson is unbelievable. He was limping after the game so the Wemby dirty close out was as bad as it looked. Brunson’s ability to play through pain is unreal. Truly an MVP worthy performance

PS you guys better hurry before I buy all the Knicks championship swag and there’s none left. I’m gonna be rocking all the shirts and caps I can get.

I am sure the League will issue a flagrant to Wemby upon review now for the reckless closeout, now that they have been eliminated🙂whole league saw Wemby and his antics. League will be out to beat him next year. Plus, at his size injuries are certain to follow. Wemby is great but beatable. Any chance Porzingia gets bought out. KP back on vet min would be awesome !

Wemby put a big target on his back. Payback is coming in the regular season.

SA. has to get vets who have high sportsman's ship. That team can be a bunch of obnoxious brats if they aren't guided. Wemby is the new Embid.

Yeah they honestly needed Chris Paul. As fun as they can be to watch against teams other than the Knicks, they acted like complete jackasses. They deserved to lose just as much as the Knicks deserved to win.

Two thoughts. CP is not about sportsmanship. He’s infamous for the nut shots. Also scott foster and CP have serious beef

Nalod @ 6/14/2026 11:40 AM
CP3? He was there last year. He is toxic.

As for Fox? He only had 7 playoff games experience. His first full yaer he lead them to the finals. While just 28, he has not had the resume of winning. One and done in college and very young to the NBA stuck on a franchise that shit the bed season after seaosn. This is the team that fired Mike Brown after he got them to the playoffs in part because he was not too keen on Fox.

But give him credit, they won 62 games and got thru OKC and to the finals. They fell short and it was by thin margins.
Knicks were not a great team most of the season. Nalod said months ago in the age of parity its more like a tournament. Knicks came together in historic fashion.

Alpha1971 @ 6/14/2026 11:47 AM
well I hope San Antonio goes and trades for vets like Kyrie and Durant and ruin their team for years to come. Let San Antonio be blighted for their obnoxious attitudes and Wemby being a dick. Let Wemby start suffering from bad Karma. Let the league pay for creating a friggin entitled monster
fitzfarm @ 6/14/2026 11:58 AM
We now get to watch living legends play for years to come. The king of NY is in his prime, Kat is in his prime, bridges is in his prime, OG is in his prime, hart is in his prime… I don’t think this team is one and done … now that we got the 53 year monkey off our back this team can be even better …

A long strange ride all right, still can't believe this is real! Love that you stayed up late watching the celebrations Rookie, how could one sleep after that! Just awesome. Wemby really did prove he has a nasty, unsportsmanlike streak. And not an enforcer, Shaq, Karl Malone, streak, a pick on the smallest guy, dirty, behind the play streak. Anywho, the NEW YORK KNICKS are WORLD CHAMPIONS - as Chief Wiggum said, 'that's the smell of justice!

Also - still have a soft spot for KP too.

Nalod @ 6/15/2026 8:36 AM
Bad look for him and his rest of his mates to not shake hands. Thats on His coach too for not preparing them.
I hate the refs protected him but love knicks prevailed! Yes, "Justice!"

No to Porzingis. About the last thing this team needs is a malcontent to disrupt the chemistry.

Plus he is never available for the playoffs

Porzingis is the last thing this team needs. By far. Let him go disappoint warriors fans before he’s forced to retire in a couple years

Wait Wtf. March 2024 Knicks were the 3rd seed and Spurs were a lottery team. Brunson dropped 61 points after repeatedly attacking Wemy in iso. At the end of the game, Wemby threw Brunson’s record setting ball into the stands and then laughed about it in the after game press conference

We were at a DMB concert in Bristow, VA...we've been living in NoVa (northern VA) since 1999. Enjoyed the show, but had my phone in hand watching the game from tip off. We were driving home during the second half with the game still on my phone. Our younger son was at home and texted us that the lead was down to four...then a moment later that it was tied (his feed was faster than ours).

We pulled into the driveway when there was about 4-5mins left in the game...grabbed my laptop and got it on the wall (we don't have a TV in our living room, we project stuff we watch on a screen on the wall). And we just watch the Knicks pull ahead, let it get tied again, miss some shots, gets some stops, miss effin' free throws, get more stops, and then...

New York Knicks, NBA Champions!!!

It's crazy how much sports can get to us. My wife and I have still have vivid memories of the 1996 Yanks, this was similar except bigger and better. The Knicks and Patrick getting his ring. Dolan's an asshat, but the organization did it. I've heard the rumors that his focus on the Sphere kept out of the the front office and let them do their job. Can't speak to the veracity of this information, but there's certainly a logic to it.

Congrats to the team, past and present, and all of us fans. Crazy ride filled with far too many downs, but this ultimate up is stellar.

grillco @ 6/16/2026 11:53 AM
Not interested in KP either, but if any team could manage his time and health, it's been proven that it's the Knicks.
