Knicks · The really short off season for knicks! How to run it back? (page 32)

Go get Drummond & Lebron

Drummond is fat and slow he can’t guard anyone he is not even 20% of what he was years ago.

Get me a pair of moon shoes and I'll give it my all!

the objective is to improve the team. you are the defending champions.

there is still time, LeBron remains the biggest needle mover but also comes as a circus act.

but the signs that we would play it safe were early. Not drafting a player at 24. not combining 24 and 31 into a higher draft pick. stashing Kayil. keeping Alvarado over a vet min ball handler.

we just played it way too safe imo. repeating is hard and the team should've zagged. even a small shakeup like drafting 24 and 31, sideways trade with deuce, promoting hukporti would've been a meaningful attempt at improving at the margins.

instead the front office aimed so low in terms of improving the team that the likely outcome now is that we will enter the season with a worse roster than last year, and the entire offseason bet is that diawara develops into a huge rotation player.

In Leon we trust. Hard for me to believe he doesn't have a plan. Kevon Looney and Kevin Love?
gradyandrew @ 7/1/2026 2:33 PM
Maybe Deandre Ayton?
Alpha1971 @ 7/1/2026 3:48 PM
maybe Ben Simmons comes out of retirement ?

That would be a very disappointing plan.

I think barring some FO magic, Deandre Jordan is looking attractive?
I know he's old, but we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel now, and need SOMEONE with size.

a few pages ago ppl accused me of trolling for literally calling for bottom barrel bigs like Deandre Jordan and Drummond.

guess where the knicks are shoppers at? the bottom of the barrel.

in a week's time if the knicks don't do something there wont be a bottom of the barrel left to scrape.

Diawara and Clarkson will be the backup at center.

MOTHER F$%^ER!

nycericanguy @ 7/1/2026 6:08 PM
Much rather Looney over DJ, seems we will at least sign Looney. but I think ultimately we have to trade DEuce and or Dadiet plus w/e 2nds to get someone like Kalkbrener or at that level.
Nalod @ 7/1/2026 6:12 PM
Im learning with Leon don't pay much attention to an early trade cycle, draft cycle, or free agency as Knicks got it.

Just seems the logic will follow. Im thinking Brock Aller, Leon, and the whole FO have run more scenarios than we can ever figure and are not sleeping as if we let Huk slip out the door by acccident or make a decison what was to become of mitch. Semtiment aside for our longest tenured player the must be a pragmatic process that considers all factors.
If they wanted to keep him we would have.

That was me and it was because of your suggestions

I’d be very surprised if we follow any

I suspect we’ll watch summer leagues for guys including our owns and we have a ton of second rounders. 3 got Isiah Stewart the other night

Are you as calm as I am?

Looks like 95% of Knicks fans are caught in mental bear traps chewing off the legs over our center position

Ain't worried. I trust this front office will work it out, because I did get aligned with their staying under the 2nd apron and I'm already quite satisfied that they nailed down Mo and Landry to long-term deals.

The Mo deal was the only thing I was actually worried about. Landry is gravy. Did not expect that. So I'm good with waiting to see what they do

Just promise me you won't ask for us to sign Lebron
