It's been way too long since I posted here or commented on a thread. My last visit was apparently back in 2023. I used to be on here all the time and broke bread back in the day in Harlem with people from this forum whom I had only known from this forum in what seems like another lifetime ago. It still doesn't feel real that the KNICKS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS!!!!!
It's been a long road. I remember lying on my back in my living room, 11 days after my 17th birthday, in disbelief that the Rockets had won. In '99, I truly didn't think that the Knicks could win without Ewing, and I was right, but I didn't think it would be 27 years until we were back on that stage. I wanted us to face the Spurs so bad for revenge, even though a lot of the players weren't even alive back then. It makes sense if you know where I'm coming from.
I could write forever about what I've been through, what we've all been through as ULTIMATE KNICKS FANS, but we're the F***ING CHAMPS! Everyone has their story about where they were when it happened. It's a moment none of us will ever forget, but to me, it was one of the greatest moments of my life to watch it happen with my 20-year-old son, whom I brainwashed, like any good father would, to love the Knicks. He jumped into my arms, and I jumped up and down while my wife looked at us with a smile on her face.
Tomorrow will be the most amazing championship celebration ever in NYC! We have Yankees/Mets, Giants/Jets, Islanders/Rangers, and even though there's another team, this will always and forever be a KNICKS city! I'm off from work and will be planted in front of my TV before 10 AM with my son and watch it from start to finish. I might finally cry, which I thought would happen when we won. I've become teary-eyed since, but haven't let it out yet.
To those who remember me, what up? For the others, "Nice to meet you."
BLUE & ORANGE 4 LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is another team? Didn't realize
