not sure how I feel about the team penalties there. I get hitting the owner and the people hard, but you are really hammering the fans and anyone unlucky enough to play for the Clippers for the foreseeable future.

Simmons? Not read he was a chemistry issue, just that he folded at a critical moment and Doc Rivers thru him under the bus. Then his body broke down. Arrogant young man who did perhaps take his talent for granted? Philly did not do its proper due dilligence as these signs were there at LSU. Final issue was he was with a Kardashian? They will drain the life from an NBA player. Perhaps his time away gave him a maturity to come back and make good on his career. Perhaps at lower level expectation? I'd be ok with him coming to a championship team and and earn his time. For him he needs an opportunity to play and thats not gonna happen with knicks. This business can crush a young man. I'd root for him. If he toxic he gets made gone quick. Low risk for any team taking him on.

The other owners were out for blood regarding the clippers getting to pay Leonard outside the salary cap.
Either you have a salary cap or you don’t. Pablo Torre is as a I type this trying to manufacture a scandal against the Knicks regarding Brunson. I guess Rick Brunson is not allowed to have a job.

Simmons doesn’t want to play in the northeast in a big market. Sacramento is the smallest market in the league out there in sunny California.
He will get a chance to play point guard on a shitty team in a small market with less scrutiny/pressure on a one year deal. Knicks were interested and perhaps even if he succeeded thru the season one small mistake would be magnified by a crushing media and small minded fans who think they know everything. I can only imagine he will be quite rusty and need a lot of time to work thru it on and off the court. Knicks or any contending team would not be a good place for that. Perhaps they wanted him to play power forward or some at the C. At 6-10 he has the size. Maybe if successful and healthy down the road? He needs to maintain a Kardashian free zone.
