Free agent guard Norman Powell has agreed to a two-year, $45 million deal with the Chicago Bulls, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Lakers acquired Walker Kessler from the Jazz in exchange for two unprotected first-round picks and two pick swaps, reports ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The unprotected picks the Jazz will receive are in 2031 and 2033 and the pick swaps are in 2028 and 2030. Kessler will sign a massive four-year, $130 million extension with the Lakers. Los Angeles had been talking with Pistons center Jalen Duren about acquiring him in a sign-and-trade, but the Lakers took action here in completing the deal for Kessler. The 24-year-old center spent the first four years of his career with the Jazz, averaging 9.5 points and 9.3 rebounds. He’s the big winner from this trade from a fantasy perspective if he can stay healthy. The Lakers are now hard capped to the first apron and have no first-round picks to trade. - Nick Shlain

Excellent!
Fck Miami!
Lakers are looking like they had no plans to keep James all along. Their team looks vastly improved.

They just gave Q. Grimes 4/$60 million. That's a little crazy.
Lakers really overspent for this roster though. And are they going to lose Rui too? Not sure how they improve much. And they have no tradable first round picks left for 7 years.
I really hate the deals for the lakers.
talent wins championships.
you don't win championships spending
4/60 Grimes
4/52 sandro
2/19 sexton
these guys are #8-10 bench dudes on championship teams.
Looking like the Utah Lakers all of a sudden.

What an odd pickup for the Spurs
Whoa!
BLOCKBUSTER: The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.
Just when you think a rival dies off they bouce back up like a bad movie villian!
I gather there is more than this as the return to Boston seems thin.

Yeah, they overpaid. But they were desperate to avoid another season with Ayton. Personally, I don't like this deal for the Lakers.

lakers were desperate and ainge is one of those guys that refuses to lose in any deal
Why do you think Lakers overpaid?

32.5 for Kessler is fine. You worry about the draft picks after
Luka is past his prime but man oh man Kessler looked like a beast to start last season.
