All true. My “half-hearted” is about a guy like this that can’t stay on the court. But he is also 6’11 with a 7’6 wingspan.

At this point he is in the salvage pile. But if we are talking camp invites with non-guaranteed money? I’d like a closer look.

I have no idea if he ready to resume his career in the nba. Maybe play some Gleague and show some game might be his path? He is 25. I'd gather if he can get to a camp and is healhty, as you said someone should give him a look.

James Wiseman might be the answer to this very long thread. Talent and upside are still there. Major health risk but that’s the gamble you take at this point.

I’d have to say if wiseman is finally healthy he’s a steal… he would without a doubt be our new Mitch ..

Look at how he looked in the World Cup this year for USA he’s a defensive specialist and is more then just a lob threat on offense .

Like the move. Low risk. Yes he’s very injury prone but he has talent. He has a chance to reinvent himself here.

Video's like that inflate. I see the potential but vs. NBA men he has yet to produce and the body hold up.
I do hope he finds his stride with knicks! It would be a nice gain. Big men sometimes need time. Sometimes to develop or sometimes to see its not gonna happen as hoped. Long ass list of guys that just did not have that extra thing to get them over the top. Then are guys like Ayton who just don't have the love or hunger. He is not a bad player, and has been paid, but just missing that small thing. Wiseman? The Achilles is a bad injury and he needs that explosive edge. Hope its there.

I would steer clear of Wiseman. Everything i read about him in the past is that he has a very low ball iq and is consistently missing assignments on defense. What we need is a good screen setter that can defend the rim and not be lost on a switch.
