Awesome!!
We had about 5.7 million in 2nd apron space before this. Wonder if this takes us out of JV sweepstakes (unless we're trading someone already under contract)?
I like it. continuity is important
Vet min just like Drummond, counts $2.4M against cap
Knicks very guard heavy, not there is anything wrong with that
Brunson GTA Kolek
Mikal Deuce Shamet Clarkson

Leaves us about $3.3 million left in 2nd apron space to fill the 14th spot. Have to imagine Leon will want to leave some room going into the season
Just need another Center and we're done.

That is a perk of being a contending team - you get these FA's on min deals that just weren't there for us before. But the Mo, Shamet, and Jose deals are all about this front office, the rapport they built with these players, and certainly being the defending champs helps too!
They must know where they are going with that 14th spot by making this decision now.

I get that LeBron isn’t coming, but the Knicks could simply move Dadiet in a trade if they want to make a play for LeBron.

This makes sense because the Knicks will save that extra space for late in the season when they need a little flexibility for trade or buy-out market. Great cap management once again.
Love it, JC really won me over. The way he changed his game and actually became a defender so late in his career, same way KAT did. very rare. He loves it here and he accepts his role and is very good at it. We weren't getting a better fit at vet min.

Yeah, I guess I'm a little lost on how this 'officially' ends the possibility, even if we already know it's not happening. Doesn't LeBron get subjected to the same cap hold as other vet mins like Clarkson or Valanciunas, even if the actual contract is scaled up based on years? Or are we just saying we're reserving the last spot for a C so LeBron doesn't fit?
While happy with this re-signing, I am curious at the number of Guards under 6’4 on the roster.
Brunson, Clarkson, Alvarado, Deuce, Kolek and Shamet. You can convince me Hart and Bridges are no longer guards - kind of.
Seemed like we had an extra guard while Deuce was injured. Not sure if we are sticking with so many now or if a trade is likely.
