Knicks · Top 100? (page 1)

Anyone following KFS's Top 100 Knicks of all time list?
https://knicksfilmschool.substack.com/p/...

Seems to be a TON of recency bias! How can JC, Avocado and Burk make this list? RJ Barret #50? Why?

In the meantime, we continue on with our summer project: counting down the top 100 Knicks ever, with a focus on the players that have defined the Leon Rose era. In case you’re just catching up on the list, here are the Rose era players who have appeared thus far:

100. Alec Burks
85. Jordan Clarkson
81. Jose Alvarado
74. Derrick Rose
70. Isaiah Hartenstein
63. Immanuel Quickley
60. Landry Shamet
55. Donte DiVincenzo
50. RJ Barrett
45. Deuce McBride

Burks was money. Fourth quarter Burks was like a cheat code.

iHart should be higher.

I’m following and I agree on the recency bias. And winning a title seems to overshadow total careers with the team. But that’s ok. These lists are fun and everyone’s will look different.

Guys like RJ Barrett and David Lee belong ahead of Deuce. Tyson chandler with his DPOY and all star appearance and defensive teams belong ahead of Mitch and Bridges who hasn’t been listed yet. As you said, recency bias. Bridges is going to grow on the list, but he needs to be here more than 2 years to be considered an all time Knick great in the top 25.

Macri needs eyeballs in the offseason and lists made for debate are fun.
Walt Bellamy was a HOF player who in NY put up big numbers next to Willis but they were not winning.
Bells and A role player called HOward Komives (might be a good comp for Deuce) for Dave DeBusschere who was 3x allstar before the trade.
