Like what I saw from Wiseman. Looks a little Mitch-y out there.
Not surprising Kolek led us in Assists with 5 in 17 minutes.
In the clips he looked crisp. His ascendance would be one of the more impactful developments this season.
He's a dime machine. With regular minutes his ratio of assists per minute would be close to tops in the league.
Wiseman looks physical out there and seems like a perfect 3rd center.
Feel bad for Huk
He's a nice guy
You could see by how our guys reacted

Don't hit me Martin, but Clyde can't hide his Asian roots
If Wiseman just dunks in lob passes, put backs, grabs rebounds, boxes out, and protects the rim he has the physical skills to be a good player. He doesn't have to be a star but just star in his role. He seems more of a impact maker then Eubanks. Man, Dadiet seems so much like Knilina out there, so happy just to have been drafted in the NBA. Seems like he seems happy to return to Europe for a few more seasons and retire at 26. Which ain't a bad deal. With Hukporti injured
, Philly joins the race to trade for a back up big Missi and Diabate just got more expensive
Hate that Huk got hurt.
Justifies no contract from us with his injury history.
Leon could not count on him. He was hustling out there and looked good.
Deuce? Shamet took his minutes and his money. I'd like to see him traded even if for little but he gets a role and a bag. He has earned it.
KAT? Apron has its own path and I assume knicks know what they are doing. Jalen needs to get paid also.
If there is a way, we keep him. If not, there might still be a window with a trade scenario. Just don't know what that can be.
Watching the yankees anemic offense without Judge and Stanton who eat a lot of payrool is a tale of caution. Apples and Oranges but it happens.
Leon's vision put us in a position to contend last season. He has earned my confidence.

I rather have wiseman right now than trading for missi or diabate and that’s because those teams want first round picks for them. I just want the Knicks to take a chance on wiseman it’s low risk situation. I really doubt we can get better back up third string center than wiseman because Knicks hardly have any assets at the moment.
Mo looks gigantic out there

Coach Brown has a good line on the kid given his time in GSW and perhaps this role, this year, with this team makes a lot of sense as you depicted. He can come on slowly and build his body up thru the season No back to backs and good solid minutes with defined role. Keep it simple with limited offensive role. "the next Hartenstien". Maybe so. BUt recall iHart first season was not that great and not until mitch went out did Isiah come on in the second half of his break out season.
The rest of it? Kat extension has a lot to do with what could come next or what does not. October 19 deadline has implicaitons regarding his opting in.
In time Duece and Josh are likley not in the long term future. Josh made his mark and got paid very nicely. He is one finger injury away from being an awful contrct if extended long term. He might just be a year to year kind of guy or "team option".
one year at a time!
The Knicks ties to Wiseman are fantastic: Brown as an assistant with GS and big man coach Mark Bryant in Detroit. I don't know how you can ask for a better environment for James than that. All on him to succeed and this has got to be one of his last ramps up to the NBA. Good environment for player and team if he earns it.
It'll be kinda wild if he succeeds as a super solid 3rd backup C and then goes from there. Potential is there.
Saw some highlights and both Drummond and Wiseman had some nice plays on both ends. The drop off from Mitch will be huge in determining if we can repeat as Champs imo!
I feel so bad for Hukporti! He was def going to get a lot of minutes this season with that walking tampon aka Embiid missing 50 games.

We should all celebrate with some good ol day drinking. I'm currently out of work while recovering from surgery so I can proudly declare " Go Knicks and It's 6pm some where " Hoping for big things from Wiseman or Eubanks and especially from Drummond. Plus for Kat to finally stop getting so many fouls. If Kat can stop fouling as he has in the past, we can repeat. If Drummond and the 3rd string center can challeng him in practice to stop fouling that would be huge
Let’s not kid ourselves, Wiseman sucks. I’d rather see Mo get minutes as a small ball 5. I’m curious what Eubanks can bring. If he can morph an iBanks role and be Hartenstein light
Just wondering how many times have you actually seen Wiseman play? He def. looked good last night, nice athleticism, nice potential, great length.

To succeed, he doesn't have to do much more than defend the rim and box out and board which will lead to every opportunity for him to score or pass.
Basically, Mitch 2.0 is his role

Agreed but with the caveat that Mitch did those things at a very very high professional level and consistently and within the offense and defense. Steep climb to get to a playoff level, even as a 10+ minute backup. Mitch had 3 playoffs to learn his job.
For a play-in level team, he may be OK, but perhaps not where the Knicks heading. But 3rd string with upside and a little time, not bad at all and probably really good upside scenario for everyone.
We shall hope for the later.
