Stein reports Kolek was NOT offered to make room for Brown. Thought was if a center was available perhaps.
Not as clear on Dadiet who likley had less value.

Tip-off for the NBA season is at 3pm ET on a Tuesday? Noon PT? What is going on?

martin @ 10/20/2026 10:09 AM
OKC gonna have a very different team next year

Chandler @ 10/20/2026 1:24 PM
Okc will beat San Antonio this year. IHart, Chet, and now Mara too much length for Wemby to deal with. Reminds me a little of the way Jackson and the Bulls used to address Ewing through numbers and fouls.
MaTT4281 @ 10/20/2026 1:35 PM
Whoever decided to open up the season at 3pm on a Tuesday is ridiculous.

It's in Detroit too, so 2pm local? Soooooo stupid

SergioNYK @ 10/20/2026 4:19 PM
I can't watch Mitch in that ugly green jersey!
MaTT4281 @ 10/20/2026 5:24 PM
C's up 10 when I turned this on 15 minutes ago. 23-0 run in the 4th by Detroit.
Philc1 @ 10/21/2026 8:06 AM

How is it stupid? Depends on the objective.
The diehard boston fan will park in a pub at 3pm anyway. LOL
Detroit I will assume still sells the game out? 3pm? Pull the kid out of school early and take him to a game?
Thinking outside the box for a minute.......
IN London its 8pm.
7pm in other parts of europe.
If one wants ratings there a prime time offering is nice touch. Not like the NBA is trying to get into that market? They are.
FYI, Detroit is not on central time. They are Eastern.

Ref is right fucking there LOL

ToddTT @ 10/21/2026 9:54 PM
17 should lose his job. He’s just doing cardio. What a moron.

Refs need to be eliminated.

Their position, not killed.

Giannis is a beast but that Heat bench is going to let them down a lot this year.

OKC is a beast. One game, I know..but wow.

Boston is going to have a tough season. They seem to have the same issue that the majority of the top teams have and thats a lack of a quality bench.

Few teams can bring in a star player like via trade and contend right away. Price depletes the bench and ability to fill it back up. Knicks succeeded bringing in OG, Mikal (Mostly for them picks)and then KAT. year one was good, but we all knew it was about the bench at the time and few expected it would hold up. It did not despite a deep run with Thibs at the helm. Year two with some finesse got it done. Perhaps in part the Heat need another year to round it out.
Same for Phila and what they did was on paper really quite good given it got them Lebron at 4mm per. Brown and picks for PG13. Its the bench that is the question there also.

You know, the 2nd apron puts restrictions on your own fro’s. Curious if it also restricts other teams picks you received in trade? If it doesn’t then not sure how the apron affects a young team with tons of other teams draft capitol? My gut says they’ll be fine if they don’t blow the core up

Devin Booker with zero 3's in last nights game. That's just wild and weird.

It'd be like Brunson not taking any 3's in a game

Yaxel Lenderborg on his NBA debut and guarding Luka: "I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me... Being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect. That was awful"

Transcript of this soundbite:

"Yeah, it was interesting. I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me, for sure.

I had a lot of respect for him (Luka). You know, just watching. I didn't really watch the NBA much, I just watched highlights. Seeing him, you know, kill people all the time. But then being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect, man. Like that was awful.

Like me getting frustrated, it's not about the foul being called, it's about him complaining the entire game. And then you get the foul call, congratulations bro. And then you talk to me like you did something great, bro? Come on, dog. That's just weak. It kinda threw me off for a little while, cause you know, like I said, I had so much respect for him. Gone man, gone.

I was telling him he sucks, he can't score on me. You talking and you can't score on me. I said it the whole game. I said a couple cuss words obviously, you know, that's why I got the technical and all that. But I was letting him know, because he was laughing and talking all this because of that one foul call.

His only bucket on me was a banker from half court. Like I know that it's a team sport. You know, he had 28pts on us as a team. Me, I took my matchup personally. Tried not to get caught on the fouls. Tried my best. I was thinking about playing him with my hands behind my back to see if that worked, probably would've still got a foul call."
