Yaxel Lenderborg on his NBA debut and guarding Luka: "I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me... Being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect. That was awful"Transcript of this soundbite:
"Yeah, it was interesting. I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me, for sure.
I had a lot of respect for him (Luka). You know, just watching. I didn't really watch the NBA much, I just watched highlights. Seeing him, you know, kill people all the time. But then being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect, man. Like that was awful.
Like me getting frustrated, it's not about the foul being called, it's about him complaining the entire game. And then you get the foul call, congratulations bro. And then you talk to me like you did something great, bro? Come on, dog. That's just weak. It kinda threw me off for a little while, cause you know, like I said, I had so much respect for him. Gone man, gone.
I was telling him he sucks, he can't score on me. You talking and you can't score on me. I said it the whole game. I said a couple cuss words obviously, you know, that's why I got the technical and all that. But I was letting him know, because he was laughing and talking all this because of that one foul call.
His only bucket on me was a banker from half court. Like I know that it's a team sport. You know, he had 28pts on us as a team. Me, I took my matchup personally. Tried not to get caught on the fouls. Tried my best. I was thinking about playing him with my hands behind my back to see if that worked, probably would've still got a foul call."

We have to wait until January for him to roast our players.

Good on him
Prima Donnas and refs that cater to them have degraded the game immensely
One of the reasons our team caught the popular imagination during the playoff run was we were led by mostly strong, silent types who sealed the deal vs. entitled guys like Wemby who thought he had already won the title before getting the job done
That team clearly has no Captain or Championship DNA like we do.

If we had traded for him, we'd have never assembled the team we have
There would have been no championship run
One of the best decisions this FO ever made was telling Danny Ainge to eat a bag of dicks

They should have sent Utah some of that ass pie as a thank you too

He’s going to love it when he plays Philly. Even their coach is an over the top whiner

Kawahi? He out for a while with the knee.
Dude does find incredible pain toleance in contract years. Amazing.
We been blessed with good health. That dude was hired from Dallas got our guys going well.
He got Mitch thru last year.....and everyone got rings!!!!
Its a long season. ANd with Parity/injuries the prediction thing is lessor. For the most part it creates excitement for fans.
come tournament time (Playoffs) even 3rd seed can win a chip.
Ratings......Cant imagine a Milwaukee-Tampa series is a ratings bonanza. I could be wrong. I often am.
NBA was in decline until last year. Wemby was a big draw but the power in the ratings was knicks!
WNBA......I watched Fever and Liberty. Then some Aces vs. Valkeries. then got disintrested. Glad to see Angel Reese tone down the glam look on the court and seem to be whining a lot less about every call and dismissing refs which can't sit well for them.
WNBA needs Buekers or Clark in finals. Most leagues need its biggest stars on the big stage. Bird and Magic rescued NBA years ago. Jordan took them to high levels. stars matter.

saying he lied about not knowing. Seems Brown has a habbit of just being an annoying and fact is Celts wanted out.
That might sting a bit but leave it alone. Perhaps Tatum did know. Out of respect, perhaps saying he did not know was his way of not insulting? Like if he said he knew then it looks he wanted him gone too. But to stay neutral its not big thing. Brown now keeps drawing attention. Best thing is just keep balling and move on and be happy. He outplayed his draft status,, is an finals MVP, and super wealthy. On tradk for a HOF career. He appears super intelligent until this petty shit keeps seeping out. Not its floated he wanted out of Boston?

The only thing I care about is he infects the Sixers locker room with Emboliida and their team implodes on themselves.
That I'm more anti-Philly than Boston is a tribute to Embiid's ability to annoy the fck out of me

I hear you. Embiid as villian no. 1 was easy. his sloppy play and lazy dangerous play has a way of drawing fans in. To some extent I was impressed the bells palsy series as he played thru it. That took grit. The whining and complaining to refs used to really bother me until i came to understand KAT was not too far behind.
There is no world where I'd ever even for a moment root for philly over knicks. Jalen Brown issues are not knick related so I really don't care what he does. As you know I do respect Lebron and if Embiid can clean up his act and play to his potential again, but not be such a douche I could see slighty pulling for Phila over say Wemby and SAS. Now if both are going to play each other like a old timey Texas cage wrestling match and both bleed out that could be fun too.
Lebron in vs. 2016 finals over the 73 win Warriors was an incredible feat. This was post Heatles which like many really got under my skin at the time. 2016 perofmance really earned my respect and over 20 years he has matured. Kobe did and if we allowed him some grace over his arrogance and rape, we can with Lebron and his. No rape. Married to his HS sweethart, no dramas, and raised his kids. Othter than the awful "decision" I can't find too much to hate him for off the court.
