i knew this would happen, and j kidd is shell of himself right now. they had 3 nice draft picks and couldve had nice cap room if they dumped j kidd at the right time--maybe sprewell and cassell? whatever. the nets fcd up. you cant base your franchise on two gimps, lets be honest as knick fans we almost expect h2O to get hurt again and you know you are watching grant hill every time he falls down he looked a little gimpy himself tonight.
at the end of the eason--no NJ playoffs.

don't let playa read this thread!
H20 has looked surprisingly good this year. much better than he did last year when he was rushed back and was hobling around and shooting 4-14 from the field all the time
i disagree...h2o is done he is slow and every shot looks soo difficult...maybe if he studied rip hamilton or reggie the way they come off screens...but he cant get open
slow or not 6-9 from the field looks a lot better than what he was shooting last year before he shut it down
LMAO...only took Carter one game to injure himself. Didn't think it would be this soon, but I am not surprised.
lmao It seems like the Nets can't get a break. I would feel sorry for them if they weren't so cocky and arrogant during their stint of being a good team.
I know what you mean man! Net fans still think they could've beaten Detroit and Indy last year "if kidd was 100%" hahaha
nets went halfway. nets couldve bit the bullet and really reloaded. Now they are in a very scary place. Two players signed for 4 years combined that takes up almost 30mma year and they both are HIGHLY questionable in terms of helth--SHORT and LONg term health. you know it sounds good on paper, but it IS going to be just a HORRIBLE business decision. they couldve gotten rid of kid, kept the picks, they had kristic and planicic and couldve built a nice team LONg term with depth. now it really is a band aid team[pun intended] just a mess. all they had to do was endure the season and get J Kidd looking like 85% of JKidd--thats it. no paying collins 6mm per, just let it ride this year NOPE they compounded their FU with worse FUs.
imagine if Carter goes on the IR and they they have to play with eric williams, Zo and A-train lol they're gonna be awful
Merry Christmas New Jersey

Vince Carter made his first appearance as a Net on Monday night and it resulted in another injury for him. Carter left the in game with 2:13 left in overtime because of sever cramping in his left hamstring.
Before leaving, he played 41 minutes off the bench and contributed 23 points, five assists, and three steals. All this he did after being off 3 for weeks.
Views: After the game, Vince said he will not miss any time because of the cramps. He made a good first impression with his new team tonight.
Briggs you watch ESPN too much, a cramp is a cramp.

But for Carter a cramp is not a cramp. A cramp is a season-ending injury

If you want to lie to yourself then you can think he is shooting 6-9 from FG. He shot 3/10 against Boston on Dec 22nd. And btw: the slow from the field does matter a lot. I doubt H2O can make it past 25 games this season. No surgery remember!
unless you lost money, i cant see the big deal over vince's return. all the faults acknowledged on this forum, vince is a competitor and i hope his return is soon [like next game] hey, this is what vice had to say:
Carter, traded from Toronto to the Nets on Dec. 17, hadn't played since straining his Achilles tendon Dec. 8, also at the Palace. He didn't start but played 42 minutes and shot 8-for-19 from the field.
"I guess this is twice here, but I'm sure the cramps would have happened anywhere," said Carter, who limped off the court with 2:13 left in overtime and didn't return. "I played a lot of minutes in my first game back, and I guess I got dehydrated. I felt good until then, and my Achilles is fine."

i love vince carter.
half man / half hamstring
Briggs is right, especially when you have a guy in Thorn who's drafted brilliantly over the last few years. Krstic is another guy that looks like he's going to be a hell of a player.
My question is why was Wince playing over 40 minutes? You know the guy is the Pedro of hoops... anything after 30 minutes and you know your one fart away from landing him on the IR again.

I hope you are totally wrong. Come on, Houston is ours and is finally healthy. Lets enjoy it and hope he can help our team become a special team in the East. Lets hope for the best with his health. No matter if you like him or not he represents a great shooter that definitely helps the Knicks a lot and gives us another dimension to the team's play.
God bless him and makes him stay healthy.

The Net trainer should be fired! He forgot to remind "Half Man/Half a Season" to take his Midol.
