I haven't seen too many movies, but I want to see him. Already read in the paper the *#!* censors cut Robin Williams' bit lampooning the "Spongebob is gay" hysteria.
I love Chris Rock but I am not into the Oscars. For me it has more to do with not enjoying the Oscars than Chris Rock. He is funny but most of his stuff is intelligent. Tonite, I bet its going to be dumb humor like, "How is it possible that Tom Hanks did win anything this year" humor.
You know who I think will be perfect to host the Oscars? George Carlin. He has the standing to mock some of these actors and still get a standing ovation.

Not that I hate the actors but they are getting awards already, why not poke some fun at them? I havent seen too many movies this year either so I am just not into it.
Carlin would be GREAT but they'd never trust him with it. The original "7 Forbidden Words" guy? No way! And Hollywood couldn't even take Letterman poking fun at them a few years ago, I don't think they're gonna let another guy bash away at them again. Would love to see it, though.

Oh man, thats a classic. You are right about Hollywood though. There is no way they will stand for another guy making fun of their stars. And Hollywood is very very powerful. I guess I'll try and watch Rock tonite. I hope he is funny.
omg it was the worst oscars ever!!

LOL

Good thing I missed it then.
You made such a good choice, Silver! Rock is so much funnier than he ended up being last night. He got a few good lines off in his monologue but it was really toned down, he needed to have his usual bite and they defanged him. Then the rest of the night he was like some lame M.C. delivering straight introductions or corny lines, with very few wisecracks. Yuck!
