Hopefully Nady gets back so he can platoon with Matsui at DH

nady won't need surgery - out 4-6 weeks.
wang will pitch a simulated game in tampa and then will be re-evaluated.
Great news.
good win today... Giambino gets a nice ovation at YS... Brett Gardner doing his thing in the field & at the plate... another very nice pitching performance by good ol' Andy... i told u he'd be fine this year... Mo comes on to close it out like only he can do... we're 8-6, can we get a winning streak started? perhaps if CMW doesn't pitch... Red Sox series coming up this weekend guys & gals... are u ready for some baseball???
was at the game yesterday and i think the new stadium is awesome....like the open roof / outdoor feel to the concession stand areas and lots of foods to chose from...which all in all, are a better quality than what was at the old stadium...i mean there's even a lobel's meats carving area where you can buy and bring home a fresh steak, chop cuts, etc. home with you...can you imagine that..."hi honey was at the game tonight and picked up a side of beef from the yankee stadium butcher."
i will post some pics we took of the place over the next few days so you can all see how handsome marv and dj are in person.

I wasn't sure how they'd treat Giambi but I'm glad they gave him an ovation. He had some good seasons here and comes across as a good guy.

Are we doing official game threads on this forum? That would be great. Is that OK with Martin and Andrew?
we usually just use this thread as a game thread
the official yankees vs. oakland game post...
cc vs. some random a's pitcher. 1pm start of which i will be slingboxing while i'm at work...
so is the wind tunnel only in effect in day games? i read a girardi quote that the night games don't seem to have balls screaming out of the stadium went hit to right field?

another homerun review in the bronx.
if damon was anywhere near athletic, he would've climbed the fence and caught it.

exactly my thoughts. what a jerk that fan was. why not just let the ball fall? he threw it back anyway, what a chump.
cc better start waking up soon...he ain't getting $20 mil for this...
thats what im talking about - 3-2 now
Sweet Jesus, did anyone see Jeter throw to home with no one there. What the hell was Posada thinking???

i don't know how you can leave home plate uncovered with a runner on 3rd...that was ridiculous...
5 less pounds and swisher gets to 2nd before the throw
his hand kind of went sideways instead of right at the bag....maybe could have beat the tag if he had gone straight for it
yeah jeter - he's played really well so far this year
