at least they got shut down by a quality young pitcher for a change... not that that's any consolation.

Still he had a decent amount of walks and we had a few good chances to score...GIDPs are killing us lately.

Hughes looked awesome again...thats the only consolation I took from this one

Wow...here's a reality check...this is Damon's 500th game with the Yanks.
MaTT4281 @ 6/24/2009 10:21 PM
Mo almost ends up with an RBI.
Weak shot to center. 8-4 Yanks
Bonn1997 @ 6/25/2009 7:54 PM
A-Rod swinging a little better?
jimimou @ 6/25/2009 9:02 PM
yup. hes still recovering tho
Bonn1997 @ 6/26/2009 8:06 AM
Well if that's the case, then it seems like he was brought back way too early.
TMS @ 6/26/2009 12:53 PM
just checking guys, didn't we go off on a big winning streak & Mark Teix started beasting when we brought ARod back? i didn't hear anyone complaining about him being brought back too early then.

I must be missing something. Are you saying amateur fans without medical degrees should have been able to foresee that he would still appear unhealthy 2 months after returning? If not, what are you saying?
MaTT4281 @ 6/26/2009 8:40 PM
Mets defense looking UGLY
MaTT4281 @ 6/26/2009 9:20 PM
CC's perfect through 4, and has an RBI to boot.
Man's been amazing tonight.
Bonn1997 @ 6/27/2009 6:08 AM
I missed the game. Looks like CC and Gardner were outstanding. Gardner had 5 hits, including 2 for extra bases?! Wow! They've gotta try him batting lead-off even when Jeter is in the lineup!
Bonn1997 @ 6/27/2009 6:21 AM
Nady re-injured his elbow. He will have surgery and miss the rest of the season.

Mike Fran always says he's he can't hit, but he's batting somewhere between .291 and .300. BEFORE a lot of those hits, he was about .291, so I don't know how much he's been watching. He's been very good at the plate, at least as of late. I betcha that in the park home run in that Minny game wasn't his only one he'll have.
TMS @ 6/27/2009 6:37 PM
damn, we lost Nady again... there goes our chances for the playoffs.
VDesai @ 6/27/2009 11:51 PM
How good was AJB tonight? Mets threw out an awful lineup, but he was filthy.
MaTT4281 @ 6/28/2009 12:02 AM
Terrific outing from AJ, but ignoring him for a second, how good has Pena been the past couple nights? It's nice to have a quality infielder off the bench - haven't had one since Cairo.
TMS @ 6/28/2009 10:40 AM
props to CC & AJ for the past couple performances... they were both lights out.
Bonn1997 @ 6/28/2009 10:42 AM
If Wang can't dominate this Mets lineup, it's time to send him to the minors again.
SupremeCommander @ 6/28/2009 10:43 AM
Oh come on... Wang is getting the start? Why not tap Phil Hughes on the shoulder instead
SupremeCommander @ 6/28/2009 10:44 AM
I mean I love crushing the Mets
