djsunyc @ 10/22/2009 10:56 PM

djsunyc @ 10/22/2009 10:57 PM
that hughes performance was deflating.

you know...with a day off tomorrow, girardi could've gotten gangsta and brought in mo there...

The mistake was not to start the inning with Hughes or Joba...probably asked too much out of AJ

Too much? To go 7 innings for a pitcher making 80 million dollars? At some point we've got to stop blaming the manager for everything and hold the actual players accountable. All AJ had to do was give us a decent outing and we're preparing for Philly. He was pathetic. Not Girardi's fault.
TMS @ 10/22/2009 10:58 PM
hopefully Damon or Teix get on base so they have no choice but to pitch to ARod
loweyecue @ 10/22/2009 10:59 PM
I agree this was on AJ more than on Joe G

he woulda been second guessed like there's no tomorrow if he did something like that & we ended up losing the game

Salary has nothing to do with game situations. Guy rallied to get through 6 after having a bad first. Anything more is pushing your luck at that point. Gotta be ready with the trigger. His outing was pretty decent after all since he had the lead in the 7th.

Meanwhile Joba sucks as a reliever too
TMS @ 10/22/2009 11:00 PM
Joba & Hughes are crappin the bed
djsunyc @ 10/22/2009 11:00 PM
yankee bullpen collapse...
VDesai @ 10/22/2009 11:01 PM
Yanks need to at least keep this within 2 runs if they can

i was shocked giradi brought him back out there. aj was pitching well and seemed in control but imho, i would've pulled him after the first hit. but that's neither here nor there...hughes messed up...

What ever happened to Chamberlain's high cheese? The fastball just isnt there
