Fixed.

It boggles my mind that Arod actually has a no-trade clause in a $300mil contract. Who needs agents?

I'm not liking what I'm hearing about this off-season. It seems like cutting payroll is more important than building a world series contender. I miss George.

I think the Yankees are making a huge mistake not bring back Soriano. When it will be Mo's last year. Robertson doesn't have the makeup to be a closer he is too wild. We know how hard it is to find reliable closers look at just about every team but the Yankees. Soriano had proven for in Tampa, Atlanta and New York that he is an elite and consistent closer and rarely is rattled. He has a calm demeanor, like he is bored. It works. I'd bring him back. I don't care who closes between him and Mo. Soriano should be the closer for the next few years.

Good Riddance Nick Swisher. My hate for him rivals my hate for Landry Fields

Bring back Kuroda on a 2yr deal. He is solid but old

Pray Michael Pineada isn't a Jose Contreras like bust next year and becomes a frontline starter

Trade the "young arms" in the system. Tired of hearing about Benhuelos and Botances seriously!

Fix Granderson's eyes and head and let him walk after next week

Trade Arod---yea right

Get Texeira to get back to being the good hitter he used to be before he fell in love with the short porch and pulling everything

Excited about the defensive outfield of Ichiro, Gardner and Granderson

Hit Ichiro 2nd and Gardner 9th and stick to it

Fire Girardi if the team collapses again early in the postseason

Fire Kevin Long NOW

Bring back Ibanez for power off the bench. Good ridance Andruw Jones

Lift the spell that has been cast on Joba

Stop being cheap like the Knicks. Amare and Arod make a combined $400mil and they want to complain about luxury tax. Give me a fuckin break!

I think that about covers it

Agree with everything you said. It's a long offseason!!!
gunsnewing @ 11/15/2012 4:32 PM
And it's going to be an even longer season
Bonn1997 @ 11/22/2012 1:35 PM
Kuroda's back for a year. Great news!
CrushAlot @ 11/28/2012 6:22 PM
Petitte's back. Nice interview on the Fan with Francessa.
gunsnewing @ 12/22/2012 8:23 PM
Ibanez signed a 1yr deal with Seattle
ChuckBuck @ 1/15/2013 3:37 PM
Soriano no more. Hope Mo got a few drops in the tank...
sidsanders @ 3/6/2013 4:57 PM
speaking of old folks homes... cant escape injuries already.

could be a long year to get through at this rate...

jrodmc @ 3/18/2013 9:38 AM
It's going to be a pretty bad season when all I can hear on WFAN lately is people going on about how valuable Russell Martin was...

Frankly, I'd rather watch Cervelli or Stewart's lousy catching than watch another year of hoping our starting catcher can manage to bat his weight. And praying to get a few clutch homers after stranding the population of NYC for most of the season.

jrodmc @ 3/29/2013 3:02 PM
Kuroda looks good, Hughesey is gone, El Capitan is spending the rest of the spring in Trenton.

Mo is still the Mo, but 90 wins is going to be a dream.

Bonn1997 @ 3/29/2013 4:20 PM
I think this is gonna be a really bad season. We still have some good starting pitching but they're old and we have no offense. I'll predict 76-86. I could definitely imagine everything falling apart and the team losing about 100 games though.
sidsanders @ 4/1/2013 6:37 PM
bad start in game 1. will this be the worst year since the early 90s?
Bonn1997 @ 4/2/2013 7:36 AM
We're really dependent on Pettitte, CC, and Kuroda. They all pitched well last year but with guys this old, you never know when age will catch up to them. I think our cleanup hitter yesterday was weaker than our #9 hitter typically would be during the good old days under George.
jrodmc @ 4/2/2013 10:38 AM
Is there a pool started on what team Joe G goes to next?
Nuni and Cano striking out with the bags loaded and no outs. Lovely.
And all Joe can say is...we have 161 more of these.

Meanwhile, at CitiYield... NY baseball, welcome back to the mid 80's?

ChuckBuck @ 4/2/2013 1:42 PM
CC can barely hit 90mph on the radar, only game 1 I know, but it seems like this season will be a somber sendoff for Mariano.
Markji @ 4/2/2013 3:54 PM
One good sign, Cano dumped Scott Boras and signed with Jay-Z as his agent. Roc Nation Sport Agency. That means Cano will sign with the Yanks.
Bonn1997 @ 4/5/2013 2:24 PM
Shit, that looked bad for Nunez
