Damn Plaxico just skipped out on practice on Monday. Just got suspended for the Seattle game. One thing I know about the NFL is that the recievers are not in control of themselves. Just to selfish. Plaxico wanted a new contract he got it and this is how he repay the Giants gratitude. What a major F'up. I think the Giants are bigger than any one player. Someone will step in and get the job done.

It's nice that we're 3-0, but is the running defense worrying anybody else?

Yes it is concerning but the LB will get better as the season progresses. What bothers me was how late some of the blitzes were vs. Bengals, it seems that they were slow to get off on the snap. Maybe the fact that the defense wore down due to the hot weather had something to do with it. It seemed like the Bengals scored points on every possesion at one point in the game.

how is it a concern when the giants have the number 2 defense in the nfc? they are still ranked inthe top 10 in rush defense ( though pass defense is their forte). the rushing defense will get better. it is not like they are allowing a ridiculous amount of yards. sure, maybe they give up a big run play here or there but they are not letting them avg. 100 ypg like a lot of teams are doing.

You are right but that Bengal game the running backs were getting positive yards to easily they would fall forward and they had 3-4 yards. What I meant to say is that the Giant run defense hasn't peaked yet. You have to remember they have two new LB starting this year. Last year it was their weakness in the beging of the year with Kiwika Mitchell and at that time Kiwinuka. They got better with each game and Mitchell was very efficient towards the end of the year. Clark and other LBs are still getting the grasp of the system which takes time. They will get better as the season progresses.

So Plax is suspended.. this blows.
TMS@ 9/24/2008 4:17 PM
i think this will be a good chance for Domenik Hixon to play more of a role in the offense... he's looked real good to me whenever he's been given a shot to catch passes... i'm more concerned w/the D getting their blitz timing down, cuz last week was pitiful.
Pharzeone@ 10/5/2008 4:31 PM
The most complete and deepest team in the NFL. Nothing flashy, just a complete team on all phases of the game.
GKFv2@ 10/5/2008 4:35 PM
Complete ownage and I loved it. A Seahawks fan with some shitty Seahawks fan site made fun of 9/11 last week to try to rile up Giants fans and he received so much backlash that he closed the website and received death threats and all that. It was even featured in the Daily News. This win felt good. I would have loved to see his reaction and morons who laughed along with him about 9/11. Payback is a bitch.

Haven't posted here in a while. Giants are obviously rolling. However, I still think there's a chance that they make a move for Tony Gonzalez...

Tony Gonzalez apparently wants to play for the Giants but from what I've heard, Reese is reluctant to give up anything more than a 6th rounder and the Chiefs are looking for that 2nd rounder the Giants got from the Saints. Gonzalez is still pretty good, but make no doubt about it, this isn't Tony Gonzalez from 3-4 years ago.
VDesai@ 10/12/2008 11:55 PM
What's that supposed to mean? Tony Gonzalez from LAST year caught almost 100 balls and 1200 yards from the TE position. To suggest this guy has slipped is laughable. His numbers might not be outstanding so far this season, but look at his teammates and look who's been playing QB there. I think the Giants have a lot of talent and may not need TG badly, but he'd certainly be a huge addition.
The initial negotations might've seen us offer a 6, but that's just the beginning. If the Chiefs want to do this for a 3, you better believe this'll get done.
TMS@ 10/13/2008 12:01 AM
this is the first time i'm hearing about any Gonzo rumors... i'd make the deal for a 3rd rounder no doubt about it.
GKFv2@ 10/13/2008 12:06 AM
Well the deadline is Tuesday so we'll see what happens by then.
Andrew@ 10/13/2008 12:42 PM
Romo out for 4 weeks with a broken pinky. Good for the Giants.
TMS@ 10/13/2008 3:17 PM
the Daily News, NY Post & Kansas City Star are all reporting that the Giants have offered a 6th round pick but the Chiefs want a 3rd rounder for Gonzo... i know this thing ain't broke so why fix it, but man, a 3rd rounder for Tony Gonzalez sounds pretty fair to me... i don't think Boss has been ineffective as much as we've been using our WR's & running the ball effectively, but a weapon like Gonzo is a nice thing to have for any SB run... not sure what the hold up is to be honest on this one.
VDesai@ 10/13/2008 5:59 PM
TMS- the latest is that it could be a 4th that turns into a third if he ends up with more than 50 catches (and that seems easily attainable). The Bills are in the mix and might be offering a 3rd and Fred Jackson. NYG could maybe offer a 3rd and a later pick or possibly a player like Moss or Ware.
With the extra 2nd and 5th we got for Shockey this seems like a no brainer to offer the third and maybe a later pick like a 6th.
I think the only hold up is the deadline is tommorow and there's no rush in accepting an offer until the deadline is up and everyone has made their bid.
TMS@ 10/13/2008 10:44 PM
they're playing like crap tonight... i'm disgusted.
GKFv2@ 10/13/2008 10:47 PM
I can't be disgusted with them yet but they do suck tonight. Bad.
TMS@ 10/13/2008 11:06 PM
k, the drive to end the half redeemed them somewhat... they should count themselves lucky the game is still within reach at this point... they've been thoroughly outplayed by the Browns tonight so far... Spags better make some adjustments to the pass coverage in the 2nd half & stop those deep routes from opening up so easy.
