didn't stop Jerome Bettis... i don't think his skills are eroding at the age of 28... that's silly talk to me... i think he just doesn't have the fire in his belly like he used to have.

Jerome Bettis is an exception.

Who btw, didn't put up much production the last 4 or so years for his career.

The average shelf life of an NFL running back is 2.6 years btw.

Allanfan20 @ 9/22/2010 5:17 PM
To be 6'4", 260 lbs and take the pounding that he does, he's going to have a short career. Bettis is 5'11" btw and a different type of running back. He was a pure bruiser. Jacobs got hit by everybody. And when you think of it, he averaged 55 yards a game last season. For any other type of big running back that's supposed to run people over, that's pretty damn good.

He's not going to average 80, 90 yards a game anymore.

can't see the Giants winning this week at all

As for Sintim they wanted to hand him the starting job this year and he proved he couldn't handle it. Whats resulted is we've seen a lot of Kiwi playing standing up at SAM and he's had a great start so far this year.

Tuck is decent at stopping the run, but his pass rushing skills have deteriorated in front of our eyes. Next game watch how many time he is near the QB. You will find that he is no where in the picture on most attempts. As for Osi that is one overrated player. Sintim needs more reps more he plays the more confident he will get. Kiwi is the best the Giants have on the D-line right now. Third down conversion rate is a direct reflection of a defensive line that can't get pressure on the QB. That last game the Colts D-line was relentless making Eli throw quick the Giants D-line needs to turn it up.

Tuck, if not being held, is definitely always near the QB. On third downs they generally move him inside to rush instead of off the edge. I agree with you on Osi - he only thinks about rushing the pasher and generally overpursues or takes to wide an angle and is taken out of the play. He hasn't been the same since the injury and was always a bit overrated before that.

Tuck is always hurt. That effects his game big time. I would rather go Kiwi and Pierre-Paul. Tuck should be coming off the bench.

Just as I thought... this team sucks
jusnice @ 9/27/2010 9:39 AM
Hire Cower now, give this team an enema. Yesterday was painful to watch, but there were moments that I thought we looked good. This may be one of those times when you need change for change's sake.
NYKBocker @ 9/27/2010 9:43 AM
That was a terrible show. The defense controlled Johnson for the most part but they need to be smarter.

The line needs an overhaul. This is just not a kneejerk reaction. If O'Hara is still down then I would have this line.

Diehl, Andrews, Seubert, Snee, McKenzie.

Just have beast and lil beast run behind the left side all day long.

I would overhaul the coaching staff and front office... this fall from grace is inexcusable

TMS @ 9/27/2010 12:40 PM
was at my first game at the new stadium yesterday... what an embarassing loss & pathetic display by this Giants team! inexcusable all the cot dayam personal foul penalties, missed FG's, dropped passes, bad decisions... it's like they wanted the Titans to win that game... just unwatchable.

i agree, this team needs a complete overhaul from the coaching staff to many of its players... they just don't care about playing winning football anymore... get rid of whiners like Jacobs & Osi... start Kiwanuka & Pierre-Paul, those guys are the only ones making plays on the defensive line other than Tuck... teach Bradshaw the Tiki Barber grib so he learns how to hold onto a freakin' football... buy Hakeem Nicks a new pair of gloves cuz the old ones sure don't help him catch the ball... get Gilbride the hell outta town, his playcalling is God-awful... & last but not least, tell Coughlin to retire cuz he's lost this team... bring Cowher in here next year, i'm done w/this crap i don't care that this team won a SB a couple years ago... they don't look a shade anything like that team at all.

now that i got that off my chest, gotta say the new stadium is pretty nice, but definitely doesn't strike me as no $1.6M facility... we had awesome seats in the Touchdown Club on the 2nd level & had access to a glassed off concessions area that was very cool, but the overall feeling i got was just so-so... i think they definitely should have put up 2 huge tv screens on each side of the stadium rather than 1 smaller one in each corner... those screens don't give u that "wow" factor at all like the one in Dallas does... & parking was a nightmare... we had to take 2 freakin' charter buses just to get to our car that we had to pay $25 to park to begin with, & still had to walk a pretty good long distance besides just to get to the damn buses & stadium after they dropped us off! ridiculous.

Vmart @ 9/27/2010 2:05 PM
I don't think a drastic change is needed. Someone has to teach Bradshaw the Tiki grip. The ball is to exposed when he runs. It seems like its just a matter of time before he fumbles. Osi brings nothing to the table he is a has been that needs to be coming of the bench. Start Kiwi and Pierre-paul. The offensive line needs to get better they lost their way last year they need to get it back or an overhaul is needed. Tuck is good run stuffer that is about it he is never near the QB. As for Hakeem Nicks what are those gloves made out of rubber because the ball bounces right off them how often do we have to see this. This team needs to get back to Giants football. Run clock and keep the defense off the field. Ball control no turnovers.

That right there is the source of all our problems. He is being exposed every game for his one dimensional approach. Hope they throw him out.

Allanfan20 @ 9/29/2010 1:15 AM
Our defense sucked last year so we got a defensive coordinator that our players would like. Our defense still sucks this year. So far, our whole team in general sucks. Lets fire the coach and see that it will still suck next year.
Vmart @ 10/2/2010 1:07 PM
Great now Kiwi is out with a bulging disk in his neck. Giants can't seem to get a break.

i was just about to post that... he might be out for the season... this really sucks!

Tiki Barber...motivational speaker. The team just seems to respond to his comments lol All joking aside, Dodge kicked a little better this game. I'm hopeful that continues.
CrushAlot @ 10/3/2010 11:22 PM
The giants have just dominated tonight on defense. I was starting to think Osi was done. What a game by this defense.

I was thinking the same thing. He had a lot to do with the team winning the super bowl a few years ago calling out Manning and now the entire team basically saying that Coach has lost his players. Players never like to hear that because it make them look very selfish. Good job by Tiki now if he can throw a jab or two out there every year to jump start the team.

TMS @ 10/4/2010 12:38 PM
Defense showed up big time last night... ugly game all around but i'll take the W any way i can get it... Ahmad still needs to learn the Tiki Tuck.

After Michael Vick was knocked out the Eagles - Washington game yesterday did Andy Reid take him behind the stadium and drown him?
