The movie is good man.....downey is a perfect Iron Man. Perfect! Best Marvel movie thus far as far as setting up a marvelous story and spot on interpretation of the main charecter.
I saw it tuesday at a free screening, don't hate.......and I saw it today with my son and baby sister. It still was good. Fanboys will love it.....even people who don't like comic movies. Highly recomended
he forgot to say how iron man ends up banging aunt may at the end. spiderman flips out...but the hulk takes a dump on him and he dies.
From the previews it looks like crap. I never liked Downey Jr.

Marvel screwed up all their movies so far......spiderman was cool to see on the big screen but they went ahead and screwed that up. Toby Mcguire is a terrible Spidey. Toby has no personality. They should have gotten a comedian to play spidey, or at least someone with awesome timing. Like in my opinion, the dude that played venom shoulda been spidey. Watch "that 70's show" and you will know what I mean. His charecter on that show is spidey. And yo the girl that's playing mary jane? What? She is ugly as hell. She is just so unattractive. Mary Jane is supposed to be one of the most beautiful people on the planet. They should have gotten that red head that's doing dancing with the stars right now. She would have been a perfect jean cuz she is beautiful, slim and shapely, and hilarious. It would have been perfect.
The xmen series was entertaining but they totally fucked the story. They casted storm all wrong, and though hugh jackman played an awesome wolvie, he's too tall and slim. Call me retarded but they should have cast "the Macho man" randy savage to play him. Tell me that wouldn't have been awesome! Btw the girl they got to play jean is too strong of a person to be a weak nieve jean. Just wrong.
DC learned their lesson with the awesome real sequel to the original superman movie and the new batman series casted perfectly by american psycho jason bale. The new one with the joker is gonna be one of the greatest films ever.
Fyi......the new hulk film is gonna be good. They totally trashed the old movie and started new. They have david banner on the run from the goverment like he should be and the hulk is gonna fight the abomination! That fight might be just as good as the neo vs agent in the final matrix movie.
I'm pumped as you can see. Again downey is Iron man....good fanboy movie.
Here's my wish list for some upcoming marvel films:
Captain america: They are definately making a cap movie with the idea of making and avenger tie in move later on down the line! randy couture of ufc would be awesome, or john cena from wwe.....probably john cena cuz he's more athletic and muscular.
Thor is currently in script stage. I keep mentioning wrestlers but hey man these guys are diesel! Kevin Nash from wwe! Kevin Nash would look awesome with thors hammer!
Black panther: Don fucking chedle! Nuff said! He played an african great in hotel rowanda. Plus he studies or has some martial arts background. Check him in rush hour 1 or 2 where he has a brief exchange with jackie chan. He looked convincing.
Luke cage: john singleton is supposed to direct it so its probably gonna be raunchy. His boy tyrese is rumored to play him. No fuckin way. Tyrese has a cali accent. They need a native ny'er or at least a east coast kinda guy to play luke cage since the charecter actually lives in harlem. The big dude from "everyone hates chris" and "street kings" needs to be cast as Luke Cage!!! Awesome! He's a bad ass, funny, and silently a decent actor.
Sub mariner: "the rock"! He freakin looks like him and the Namor is just a confident bad ass. Dwayne Johnson would be absolutely perfect.

you are talking about close to fifty years of comic continuency. of course they are going to tweak it and make it different. spidey 1 was a blast and raimi dirested it right. not to much of a fan of spidey 2 but the train action sequence is one of the best i have ever seen. x-men was decent but a start. imo, x2 was by far the best of all superhero movies because of the layer story telling similar to the comics. they actually made blade better than his comic book counterpart which is great. the other marvel movies did have major flaws. however dc only got batman begins right. superman returns was alright but this is superman. he is an icon and needs a movie that kick ***! this one definately didn't do it. not to mention the other dc classics such as catwoman, steel and a league of extraordinary gentleman. instead of coing a planned justice league movie, it would be cool if they did green lanter, imo an underrated character.

i stopped reading comics when they went from 60 cents to 65 cents so i'm outta the game...but i picked up the watchmen graphic novel b/c i heard great things about...and i heard it was very influential for the creators of the show "lost".
the graphic novel is quite impressive and groundbreaking. can't believe it was written 20 years ago. i suggest you pick it up.

Just kidding. I always' been a Jr. fan and am glad to see him get the role. I didn't see it yet, but I gotta say that it looks pretty good. I am a huge Marvel fan and enjoyed just about all of the comic movies so far, Except 'Dare Devil'. Ruined by that lousy actor Ben Fleck (or whatever you call it). I know Hellboy comes out of Dark Horse, but he's one of my favorites also.
Also, I didn't think I'd like 'I Am Legend' but finally took a look and must say. I rather enjoyed it. The deserted NYC was very convincing!

duno, I never was a big DC fan. What's the point of superman? He's always been just too powerful. And crypt is the only thing that can stop him? He needs more weaknesses. And I'm totally turned off by batman. Thats now a chicago character, since they been filming there the last two times and just way' too many different guys playing the character. Used and abused. No more, just give me the 60's television version and I'm happy.

I agree, but it's been 20 years since i read a marvel comic book and I cant remember how he became iron man. That hulk movie was the worst movie of it's time, along with G-Rider, fantasic 4. I thought spiderman 1 has been the best so far as far as story. But you a so right about parker and MJ, she was not attractive even in her best shot. JJ and the goblin carried the movie
It was ok. I didn't think it was the best Marvel character based movie at all.
just saw it. i have to sort of agree with silverfeul. this is another movie that is a little overrated but still good. i enjoyed it and rdj was spot on throughout as well as the others. however, like batman begins, it lagged in parts and the pacing wasn't the greatest. however, when he donned that gold/red suit mark 3, the theater went bananas and rightfully so. he kicked ***. i still rank x2, spider-man and blade 2 better than this. this could change. i remember watching x2 and batman begins in the theater and wasn't impressed because it did not "blow me away". but then i bought it and put it in my surround sound system and i fell in love with them. by the way, did anyone see the hulk preview? that looked like it will kick *** as well as the dark knight.
oh i forgot, if you haven't seen it yet, be patient enough to stay until THROUGH the credits. if you are a comic book fan there is an extra treat for your patience that will show where iron man could be headed
