I hated DC growing up. Always a Marvel guy. Xmen was my favorites but I read it all. Iron Man, FF, Spidey, Avengers, Thor, Capt A, Dr. Strange, New Mutants, Hulk, SSurfer, Alfa Flight, Daredevil, on an on... Marvel always spent time developing characters and its no wonder they translate into better movies.
You took the words right out of my mouth! I never really liked DC, except for their top characters of course. Even then you got so much lightweight stuff back in the 70's when I was a kid. Marvel was so much more hard hitting and in touch. They always had the most unique and interesting story lines.
I waited my whole life to see them do comic movies right. When I was young they did a real crappy Spidey TV series and overall the heroes were always lame. Now my kids and I can enjoy these great movies together and we TOTALLY enjoyed Iron Man. I have a very old set of comics still in good condition and one of them is an old Iron Man which retells how he came to be Iron man. They did a great job of telling that story in a more modern setting.
well, not only did iron man do better than expected b.o. numbers, but marvel is so giddy about it they announced other titles coming sooner than expected. iron man 2 is coming april 30, 2010. thor is in june of that year also ( forgot the exact date). then the next year, captain america will be released the first week in may and the BIG announcement is also in 2011 THE AVENGERS movie is coming out july 2011! great times if you are a comic fan, particularly marvel.
well, got the movie on dvd and man it is one of those movies that gets better and better each time you see it. first, i wasn't blown away by it but thought it was good. however, it is an excellent movie with many little things that made the movie almost flawless. can't wait for the second one. however, howard won't be back for it and is replaced by don cheadle who is an amazing actor though i thought howard/downey's chemistry was excellent.
yeah i just picked it up on bluray & it looks amazing... some cool extra features on the disk too like explanations of each model of his armor & their functions along w/some cut scenes.

I for some reason thought the exact opposite. I thought it was an awesome movie but kinda lost its luster the more I watched it. Its a good action flick though. I cannot wait for the Dark Knight on Blu Ray!

Marvel screwed up all their movies so far......spiderman was cool to see on the big screen but they went ahead and screwed that up.
The xmen series was entertaining but they totally fucked the story. T
Fyi......the new hulk film is gonna be good. They totally trashed the old movie and started new. Again downey is Iron man....good fanboy movie.
Iron Man was the first movie that Marvel made where Marvel produced the movie. Hulk is the second. Those other movies were produced by Hollywood studios.

i thought it looked a bit cheesy too when i saw the trailers but when the movie came out it definitely surprised me how good it really was... i was never too crazy about Robert Downey Jr either but he really did a great job playing Tony Stark in this movie.

i have hd dvd, which is obsolete now. i got transformers for that and it is the most amazing movie i own. you see little details of the robots like the gears that are always shifting and it was so clear. amazing. now i don't know if i am going to get playstation 3 because the blu ray players are coming down. right now, before black friday, i saw a sony blu ray player at circuit city for $199. that is a great price considereing a coule of months ago the cheapest was $299.
when the PS3 went down to 399 i figured i'd get it cuz it's basically 2 in one & i was meaning to get a bluray player anyways... plus u can browse the internet off the thing on your TV if u want so there's the added convenience factor & it's not too bad integrating w/ur home PC & peripherals via WiFi or bluetooth... i think i read somewhere that Sony basically sells them at a pretty substantial loss hoping to make up for it in game sales, so i figure i'm getting a good deal.

yeah, i figured since i already have my 360, i can just get the blu ray if they are coming down on the price. three months ago, ps3 was the best value if you wanted a blu ray but not anymore. also i am not upset with my 360 like a year ago when i went through three of them getting the three rings of death. seems i have a good one now ( knock on wood).
i think sports games look better on the 360, the PS3 graphics look a little sharper & the movement isn't as smooth, at least that's the case on Madden i've noticed... i was trying to decide between a 360 & PS3 but the bluray feature just did it for me... i heard about those problems w/the base model 360's, i thought they fixed them w/the Elite models? was it a HD overheating issue?

yeah, two of them overheated. the one my psycho ex girlfriend threw down the stairs.
that was the issue with the early models. this one is great though if you play for hours, which i rarely do but if i have an extra day off i can do, it freezes because it heats up too much. can't believe how sensitive today's consoles are. you got to handle them with kid gloves when back in the day, i could kick my super nintendo around the room ( which some frustrated nights of tecmo football i did) and it would still be fine. but i can't knock the graphics. its beautiful. you are right also with the sports games. they are more fluid though ps3's graphics on hd is the best i have ever seen. anyway, after teaching today, i am going to go and get my next movie, the incredible hulk, which i will replace once i get the blu ray also.
remember when u could get ur nintendo to work by blowing air into the connector pins on the game cartridge & inserting it in a certain way? that sh*t was so ghetto... HAHAHA!

yeah, or playing with the loose cable wire if you had it for years so you can get the picture right. man, those were the days. i wonder what they are going to say about the games now in ten years? they are probably going to say, "do you remember the three ring of death or if your disc was scratched it was over? so ghetto". LOL.

yeah, i know, right? anyway, still debating whether to get the ps3 because of the built in wi fi upgrades i could get for my blu ray player. where as if i get the blu ray player, i think i may have to get a wi fi attachment because i don't think they have built in wi fi's. well, i will see. i think i am going out on black friday because i heard the sales will be the most insane sales in awhile so i will make my decision around then.
just sell ur 360 & get the PS3.
