I'm very pleased that he is President. I have a ton of faith in him. He took on possibly the worst problems of any US President and he has gone at it with keen insight.
For instance--notice how mortgage rates continue to drop --and they will continue to do so--along with other programs up and running over the course of a year--we will see a bottom effect of the housing market with two years
He has reached out and tried to mend broken fences everywhere in the world. He does not bend our values in this outreach
Equity markets have bottomed out
While there have taken significant job loss[which is always the last part of an economic problem like this to correct] it appears that they are stabilizing banks that are the backbone of the economy and willing to shut down large companies that will not seemingly reach solvency--i.e Chrysler.
The richest of the rich have been on TV complaining of taxation--good it's about time.
We hear very little about Iraq
We have made overtures to decrease the size and expense of the military and the huge stockpile of nuclear weapons we have.
He has brought his case several time to the American people--not from behind a desk in the oval office but on many regular shows that anyone may be watching--he has stayed in constant communication with the American people.
He's on the right path. Not everything will turn our roses but he has high marks from me and I will make sure he gets my vote in 4 years because this guy is an 8 year President
Agreed for the most part. Most of the economists I trust say the stimulus package needed to be much larger, though. Also, as he now admits, he should have strategically started with an offer for the stimulus package to contain fewer tax cuts (maybe 20% of the total package) than he actually wanted. Then it could look like he was attempting to make a huge compromise when the final package was increased to about 40% tax cuts. Still no one's perfect and he is doing a very good job.
In the polls, it's clear he's got the support of virtually all Dems and Independents and a few Reps. Meanwhile, the least popular group of elected officials is the Republican minority in Congress.
Now this is something we can agree on, Briggs.
WTF? How the hell did Rush get a login?

you gave it to him...lol!

He has done nothing but shame this once proud nation. He has insulted the Queen and bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. Obama hates this country, hates the people that founded it, and is hell bent on destroying it. On top of all this, he can barely put two words together without his trusty teleprompters.
Make no mistake, the rest of the world is laughing at us. There is only one reason that the 'world' wanted this fool in office and that is because they knew it would weaken America to previously unimaginable levels.
do you have any proof to back up what you are saying or just ranting? way i see it, the guy's been in office for about 3 months and took over from the WORST pres in us history...he's got a lot of work to do, but still, he is definitly handling it all w great class and i believe he is motivated into turning this thing around...as for him not putting two words together without a telepropmter - um, have you heard some of the so called speeches our last president made? a teleprompter sure would have helped him a bit dont you think? a ventriloquist would have been even better. lastly, your weaken america comment....i thought we were already at unimaginable levels that the former president created.
your argument reminds me alot of the last time i stepped into a public restroom that someone had just layed a huge dump in and didnt flush. i was in there just to wash my hands, but this guy comes in after me and gives me a look like i was the one that stuink up the joint...
let me know when obama has a shoe thrown at him.....just sayin'

He's probably in that group of Americans--currently 25%--who are registered Republicans. Just let 'em be. Their party is going to continue to get demolished as they cater to that extreme 25% of the population.

It's not Rush. Why is it that no one can voice an opinion about Obamessaiah without being called Rush or a racist, or etc...?
I am genuinely concerned about what appears to be a systematic destruction of an America that has given us so much. I love America, that's all.
And FYI, I don't listen to Rush or any of those conservative crack pots.
Just sayin'.

Who said anything about you being a racist? A bit defensive, or are you telegraphing your true feelings? In any event when I read your initial post I thought for sure it was a parody of some hopeless, right-wing nutcase.
I have some criticisms about Obama, for sure, but come on man... do you really believe that Obama hates America or have you just been brainwashed by Faux News?
Jon Stewart put it great the the other night... when the Republicans were on top and the minority objected to the Republicans, the latter said the former hated America. Now that the Republicans are in the minority, they scream that Democrats are ruining the country. I'd just say that, as Bonn put it, extreme 25% are just sore losers
Its kinda troubling the way Faux is able to get away with nationally syndicating a unstable, bomb thrower like Glen Beck who is all but calling for an armed insurrection against Obama, and is clearly trying to raise the blood of the backwoods, militia types.
We already had a few cops get murked, in Pittsburgh, because some racist, Limbaugh freak was scared that Obama was going to "take away his guns"...and wasnt some 'neck responsible for a public, mass killing because of those same sort of "concerns"
The OrangeBlobman fits right in with this demographic. Cant say I didnt expect this sort of stuff.

Interesting. What are some issues you disagree with Rush on?
I am not an Obama fan but I am getting close.
Every headline I see coming across the wires with his name stamped on it I keep on nodding and saying to myself "Damn right, that is the right thing to do!"
He has the right idea through and through the only question is whether or not the world is willing to accept it.
The man is exceptional in vision but just because you wish it does not mean it can work in a world that is set in stone. We will see but he absolutely is doing the right thing!
Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh are going insane...rolling in their proverbial graves....they remind me of TrueBlue and Islesfan and how they talk Knicks................................. (enough dots? Nah...) .....................................................

You people are seriously messed up. Congratulations on voting for that socialist and destroying the country that gave you everything you have. If you're so indoctrinated not to see the problems with the Obama administration then there is no amount of facts, arguments, or discussion that can change your mind. If you don't see what is wrong in bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia and if you don't see what is wrong with manhandling the Queen and if you don't see what is wrong with giving the Queen an iPod and the Prime Minister a set of DVDs then, frankly, you're a classless fool and deserve everything that this administration is about to put you through; what sucks is that hardworking, intelligent people like myself are the ones footing the bill. Good luck. Oy vey!

I really really hope the Republicans continue to cater to people with your views. Two more election cycles might get us to 70 Dem Senators!
Regarding your post: The irony is that Obama hasn't done anything other than what the people DEMOCRATICALLY voted for him to do.

Bonn, you only THINK it was 'democratically' decided. You probably also think that the media had nothing to do with your decision and you probably think that your mind is 'free'. Which is nice, I guess; ignorance is bliss. And when you factor in voter intimidation by Acorn and massive voter fraud in places like Detroit (check up on it), I would say it was anything but democratic. Also, I am certain that even some Obama voters are enraged with how he is handling himself both at home and abroad. No one wanted Obama to destroy America, which is, sadly, going on all around you. Wake up and smell the roses...or what's left of them.

Are your posts a product of:
A) You legitimately being a complete moron, who is incapable of any rational or coherent thought that's even remotely tethered to reality.
B) Islesfan type polarize mission .
C) Sore loser who cant get over the fact that your party lost and you see your country "changing"
D) All the above

When you see someone with these views, please simply ENCOURAGE them to keep spreading their views. The prominence of these people in the Republican party is the best thing the Democrats could ever ask for.
CNN is boring. I can't stand it. Nice try though.

Although its tempting to think that, and its comical to watch hilariously obtuse right-wingers choke on their own bile, the problem is that they are stirring up emotions within very unstable circles. Its getting to the point where SOMEBODY is going to think its their American duty to do something about Obama and his administration, with the way pundits prattle on about how he is "destroying" America.

It's funny that in your mind one MUST be either a Democrat or Republican. CNN has done a great job with you. Keep 'living' it up, man!
You're mentally disturbed.

Very. Its kinda sad though, because they have been so unfairly painted as "liberal" (facts = liberal shifted into high gear during the Bush administration) that they have gone out of their way to be as non-partisan and as benign as possible. Their programs for the most part are dreadfully boring with little teeth.
Still the place to go for straight news and responsible journalism.
