Off Topic · Do You See the Dark returns to NYC (page 1)

yo -- some of you already know that i'm in a rock band. well, we're coming back to NYC this weekend. that's saturday 7/25, 10:30pm @ Ace of Clubs (9 Great Jones Street -- btw b'way and lafayette). it's $10.

anyway, if you know what it's like to do the musician / artist / small business hustle, then you know it's f'n hard to make noise without support from those around you. that's where this post comes in. i'm just putting this out there in hopes that you dudes and dudettes might feel like catching some live music this weekend. come through watch us rock, grab some great cajun food upstairs from the club, talk some Knicks before or after the gig. some posters here have come through to support in the past -- it always turns into a good time so hopefully we achieve that again.

but you don't have to come out to help out. if you can't make it, but you're feelin the music, tell a friend, spread the word. little ish like that goes a long way. here's some samples for y'all to taste before you buy.

man, every time someone posts in this thread, i rush in eagerly hoping there is some sign of interest in my band... DAMN YOU DARKO MILICIC -- stop unintentionally blocking my hustle with your dumb serbian name.

let me say something. i'm going to be out of town this weekend but i have seen this band probably 4 times and i LOVE them. not because of the preening mick ronson wannabe guitarist. nor the awesome ginger baker like drummer. but because of the goddess on bass and vocals.

just saying.

we'll be back in LI for sure. nothing booked right now, but the promoter we work with out there likes us.

don't know many of you know this, but it is scientifically proven that the more of you awesome people come to this show, the more it will rock. don't ask me how, i'm no scientist. i'm just passing on the facts. do with it what you will. hope to see some people there. we wanna pack this joint out.

eViL man, I wanna get to one of these shows one of these days.. I haven't been yet. This Saturday morning I'm heading out on vacation for a week, so I'm not going to be in town. Damn, I seriously wanna check you guys out though.
